I went to the theater and watched "The Reader" tonight. I cried, of course.
-
It might have been posted in another thread, but "Beware" is out there now.
-
Happy birfday!

I'm going to watch "Old Joy" today. I'm hoping it will ease all the itchy scratchy jittery symptoms I'm developing while waiting for the new Bonnie Prince album to finally make it to my ears.

Happy belated birthday! :birthday

If You Seek A One State Depression; Look About You

Just today, I checked online to see if the local places that have always had lots of jobs posted in the past had anything posted for me to apply for and where there are usually dozens and dozens of jobs posted, there were only enough to count on one hand! It's pretty alarming. -
Balloon tires! That is seriously stylin'.

This has been on my wish list since I was a kid. Some day! -
I can't get it out of my head now. It's fantastic!

I've been eyeballing that St. Louis date. I may have to plan a little jaunt over yonder.
-
I love "Nashville Skyline."
-
I'll take the Fortune Teller so I can pretend I'm Tom Hanks in "Big." I'll take the Flight Simulator becasue that would be fun...you could "do it" in there!

Sweet! That's an awesome ad. Now, wasn't that fun!?
-
There's not a four digit number stamped into the front like this? Your badge is probably different, but I think there oughta be a number on it somewhere.
-
What's the serial number on the Schwinn Badge on front? The first three digits are the day of the year and the last digit represents the year. WIth that you could pinpoint a year and compare the color/specs of your bike to what's in the catalog for that year to confirm it. It's fun to look your old bike's original advertising. Man, I wish my bike ad had a boner seat in it.

I'd been looking to get back into riding a bike (you know, since I quit around junior high) for a while and now I'm officially back in the saddle. It's so much fun just to ride and tricking a bike out can be a delightful way to drop a little dough. Who else rides? For fun, for exercise, for commuting, whatever. And what do you ride? Fancy schmancy makes Lance Armstrong jealous stuff? Hipster fixie? I'm rollin' on my lovely '79 Schwinn World Sport for now. I like it and plan to make some upgrades over time then eventually start branching out and trying other bikes whenever I come across a

I was let down by that one too. The trailer was more fun than the movie. Now watching: The L Word is back. Ooooohhhh yeah..."This is the way, it's the way that we live aaand looooove!!!" So bad, but I can't help myself.

I think for singles, it might be an easier day to get laid on. If you can find some lonely single woman in a bar and complain about the lameness of Valentine's Day and all the mushy couples celebrating it around you together, you might end up doing a little "celebrating" yourselves.
-
He got me a '79 Schwinn (I specifically asked for it and we picked it up together last week). w00t! I looooove it. I got him vinyl - Sam Cooke- Live at Harlem Square Club, Lou Rawls- Come on in Mister Blues, and Sam & Dave -Hold On I'm Coming (The art for which is a-freakin-dorable). And for all of you lovelies, here's my Valentine's Mix! http://sharebee.com/ea2f6695 "Hard Hearted Honey Pot, A Valentine's Mix" 1. Kama Sutra 2. These Arms of Mine - Otis Redding 3. I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You) - Aretha Franklin 4. Lay Lady Lay - Bob Dylan 5. Love & Happiness - Al Green 6

Happy, happy, happy belated b-day!

Aw crap, I give up! I'm ready to throw my scanner out into the street and run over it with my truck. It takes about an hour per page and there are more than 20 pages, so I decided I couldn't see that kind of commitment through! Don't take it personally, I'm generally against heavy duty committments in all realms of life - Happy Valentine's Day! However, I'll gladly photocopy the pages and mail them in a lovely envelope to anyone who wants to provide an address. I can handle that and it'll make me feel a lot less guilty about not completing the scans.

I don't think it's fair to pick on young people for falling into some subculture that mostly revolves around fashion and music, most of us have been in their shoes (but mine were never neon high tops.) I don't like to pass judgment on seemingly vacant young ladies and fellas for wearing neck scarves and skinny jeans any more than I let my neighbor's dirty, sleeveless t-shirt or our pediatrician's skin tight tan Wranglers and big belt buckle make my mind up about their worthiness. Let the hipsters have their fun! At least fixies are environmentally friendly, yeah? Hugs for hipsters!
-
I wouldn't kiss their asses. I bet the asses wouild smell like whiney hiney.
-
I really am still working on the scans. I swear on my fishnet stockings.
-
Just popping in here to say that I'm working on the scan thing. It's sloooow going. 20+ pages, scanned and zipped to .PDF is what I'm aiming for. Trust me, it's so worth the wait, really is a great interview.
