I didn't realize he was well into his 70s. I enjoyed him when I was in high school but never really gave a thought to his age. I like that about books - when they're good, they don't neccessarily tell you anything about who wrote them, they tell you about yourself instead. RIP

The Show in Fayetteville was nearly ruined for me by the presence of douchebag frat boys and their skeezy drunken girlfriend. I'm pretty sure they had no idea who the band was and were just there to get wasted and dance like they're "up in the club." Half of them were kicked out two songs into the opener's set. The night would have been a disappointment had they not closed with "Just Like Heaven." That redeemed the evening for me.

I have a musician friend who always complains at concerts that the opening band doesn't sound as good as they should because the sound people tweak the system to make sure they don't upstage the headliner. Is that sort of thing true? It always drives me crazy when he rants about it.

You people totally need to rewatch "The Next Doctor." C'mon, giant Cyberman stomping around on London?! A flying double-decker bus is cool but a giant robot will always be cooler.

I watched "I Love You Man" today. I enjoyed it because I have a giant boner for Paul Rudd. I'd also recommend it to RUSH fans.
