  1. Me too, thanks to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack! I also recorded myself covering those songs. Something like ten years old, I bet I sounded awesome! I wish I had those tapes now, but I probably recorded over them with my sweet ass En Vogue covers.
  2. I just don't even try to load most Myspace profiles anymore. The new(ish) music interface thingy and "activity stream" have helped a lot in that department...seizure reduction.
  3. Nobody uses Myspace anymore, do they? I've left and come back to it a couple of times. I can never stay away because some musicians (Eef Barzelay, for one) are really good about updating tour info and stuff on there and so it's convenient for that but I have noticed a decrease in the number of "actual friends" using it lately. In the past year, it seems like the number of people who actually post new photos, memes, or whatevs on Myspace has decreased and the number who do so on Facebook has increased. What happened? I just go wherever the people are (which is mostly facebook for now) and have
  4. R.I.P. I'm not a big fan of Swayze because my mom was a big fan of his and I'm not a big fan of her (so I can't really like anything she likes on principle.) However, he does seem to have been a thoroughly decent guy, down to earth and all. So bless him and his loved ones.
  5. ^ I remember liking that one a lot. ^ I watched "Observe & Report" today. It sucked big time.
  6. Hellz yeah. I really like that Katy Perry "Hot N Cold" song. Dudes really are like that, PMSing beyotches. Jerks.
  7. R.I.P. Picked up on Jim after seeing the Basketball Diaries and Poetry in Motion as a youngster.
  8. Chuck E Cheese's band is no good. The songs start off okay, like they might be some sweet danceable hip hop, but then they sort of turn into soft rock.
  9. I'm pretty sure I got that one and went with Breakfast Club. If it's on tv, I'll probably stop to watch, not so much for the List.
  10. Flickchart It gives you a pair of movies and you choose which you like better. It builds your list of favorite movies based on your picks. Some of the pairings that come up are absolute torture! I stared at The Graduate vs. Trainspotting for something like five minutes before deciding. Fun!
  11. Just finished season two of Breaking Bad. I hope that Jesse guy gets his Emmy. Good show and he was especially good in his role.
  12. Ditto on the Iommi shot being great. They all are. I wish Lemmy was my uncle or something, so rad. looks good.
  13. My kid is into Hannah Montana now. She likes to sing "It's the cliiiiimb!" I forgive her, seeing as how I liked New Kids on the Block when I was in grade school.
  14. P, Tentatively scheduled to shoot on Wednesday. It's way more complicated to pull off then it might sound...lighting and shit. Thank you for your patience on this matter, L Moss, I'm pretty sure I read once that high foreheads are a sign of intelligence. And you know what they say about a guy with big intelligence...
  15. I made a bunch of Myspace playlists this week. I've been listening to those a lot. Some of them are shamelessly bad.
  16. Amy Winehouse "You Know I'm No Good" Damn catchy! The horns, the drums, the way she says "Tanqueray." I dig it.
  17. Ditto on the thumbs up. Good call, Stooka.
  18. Fun with Mister Retro's "Machine Wash" filters... Herb Alpert is next week. W00t, can't wait!
  19. Those "Best of Studio One" comps would be enjoyable if you dig reggae at all.
  20. For the record, while I'm exhausted by the internet (this board included, with all of the insensitive bullshittery I've seen go down on it over the years) as of late, I really like Speed Racer.
  21. Yeah, everyone is so funny here! I wish I could just read the internet all day and lol and lol and lol until the day I die.
  22. I think there was a time when the internet was new, and even before it became a reality, that writers and thinkers believed it would be this great thing that brought people across the globe together, that it would shrink the world in such a way as to create a deeper understanding and sympathy for one another. I guess those peeps were wrong. It's really just another place where we can build little walls around ourselves and refuse to connect on any level deeper than those found in mutual appreciation for lolcats and fantasy baseball.
