  1. Louie, you're missing the whole point of the article. Did you read it? Seriously? Yes, he's using her as an example, but who cares if she stole the music or not.....the article is really directed at every kid / adult out there today who does steal music because they can....because there is no police to stop them. And because they've been stealing for so long, and now its just the norm. How dare we ask people to NOW stop STEALING. My guess is if there was a restaurant near you that was on the honor system, i.e. you simply leave money in a box on your way out.....you would pay for y
  2. Yo La Tango just tweeted: "Dear Emily White, someone around here can show you where to buy our records now. ps we just stole your bike."
  3. Love how Bob Lefsetz quotes Gregg Allman of all people. Of course Greg is currently on a freakin' BOOK TOUR (could there be anything less artistic) trying to sell as many books as possible and make as much money as possible. But of course for Gregg its all about playing music -- well that and sitting in Barnes / Noble selling books. Bob Lefsetz's just a blowhard that likes to disagree with whatever.
  4. LouieB - Yes. I if you buy a movie and make a copy of it for friends, that's stealing. If you buy a book and make a copy for friends, that's stealing. If you buy a CD and make a copy of that CD for friends, that's stealing. (Let them listen to the album and then go buy it). Wilco choose to stream that album, right? They own it. They can do what they want, in this case, smart marketing. Mr. Heartbreak. Maybe you should read the article before you respond. That would answer many of you questions/comments. And you do know there are many sites that allow you to preview songs before
  5. Louie. Really? You're saying you can't figure out what is stealing and what's not -- that there's too many scenarios? HA. Did you read this article? BTW, they address the "Used" market in the comments below the article.
  6. I was loving this before she even began playing the kazoo. http://youtu.be/WJiCUdLBxuI
  7. Springsteen, 1975. Thunder Road. He began singing out in the middle of the audience.
  8. I got news for you: Dave Grohl was a mediocre drummer too.
  9. Rocks Off. Then Thunder Road The all the rest.
  10. Could love this, but no "Baby Its You"? Elvis C and Nick L did a stunning version of that song a while back. Check it out.
  11. Self titled, "Elton John" (1970) through "Honky Chateau" (1972) were the best of times. And "Tumbleweed Connection" is the best - by far. "Rocket Man" -- drugs? homesexuality? stardom? What a great song. "And I'm gonna be high, as a kite by then."
  12. Jeff Tweedy could be soooo much better without this band.
  13. The worst Jeff Tweedy solo show > the best Wilco show. Get tickets.
  14. I can think of lots of Lennon songs I'd like to hear Wilco cover. But not many McCartney songs.
  15. Song for Adam - Jackson Browne Butterfly - Weezer Tired Eyes - Neil Young
  16. If I could play drums for any band...it might be Vampire Weekend.
  17. 1. Being There 2. AM and then the rest in no particular order.
