  1. no shit, walkin'...boo to that decision! I'm sure Christopher Walken is laughing like a madman somewhere...but not because of this...
  2. wow. Beatles influence in John's bass part during the breakdown on Hate it here...
  3. for the first time ever, I'll admit it. Hate it Here sounds like The Band.
  4. Nels is a jazz guitarists' rock guitarist. A god, in some senses
  5. I'm a huge Steely Dan, but I don't hear it...
  6. I actually heard a bit of Henley in Tweedy's falcetto during Walken...
  7. Anybody know of a good way to waste 8 minutes?
  8. think the wilcoworld chatroom will be open?
  9. CD singles are basically obsolete now. Like you said, i-Tunes pre-album releases are popular now. Singles are mostly just for radio air-play.
  10. Or for us rock n' roll fans...Beach Boy's Good Vibrations followed by Van Halen's Jump.
  11. where's the player gonna be? On the SBS page, Roadcase?
  12. very strange video for Shot in the Arm. I dunno...Jay Bennett's more of a face for radio haha. Love the Rickenbacker bass, and the purty nurse.

  14. Yeah, I watched the whole thing go down from my apartment...very...hilarious actually. Boston...oh Boston...
  15. If I woke up as Ann Coutler, I'd finally gain the courage to pull the trigger...on myself...because...I'm Ann...Coutler....who sucks.
  16. google search Sky Blue Sky (blogs). Also... I just read that Ken Commer got kicked out of Wilco?! WHEN THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?!
  17. Anybody else notice the rhythm variations in the piano intro to Walken. It sounds a bit different than the live versions, and I know exactly why! listen to the live version, and sing this along with the piano at the very beginning: I'm Walken...a pure bug beauty... that "pure bug beauty" rhythm is most likely all to familiar for the new album, so they changed it a little bit...I like.
  18. I think AGIB is very creative, just because the songs were written long ago, doesn't mean they weren't re-vamped, or re-invented. And I'm positive early versions of the songs didn't sound nearly as good as the finished product. Also, Spiders is a highlight of AGIB, and I will street fight anyone who disagrees. HAHA...no I won't (I'm really tired).
