After a few albums with Son Volt, all his melodies began sounding really, really similar. Nothing new either...all key of G barroom rock. Which has it's place, I admit, just not in my CD player.

haha. I hate tomatoes. I admit, done tastefully (or by Neil Young) guitar solos can be awesome. But when a song is kinda...meh, and the band members go "alright, let's just do a solo that'll blow people's minds!" and name it "Freebird", "Stairway to Heaven", or "Hotel California"...well...that's where I draw the line.

haha. That's crazy. I'm actually planning on ducking out of the ViaChicago boards for like 2 weeks after the release of Sky Blue Sky just so I can form my own opinions without arguing lol.
