  1. I've had better luck when I don't listen to the artist that I go to see. For instance, didn't listen to Elvis Costello, met him after the show Didn't listen to Wilco, got front row seats the day of. Listened to Steely Dan, got rained on and had a Michael McDonald tune in my head for a week.

  3. I'd go with The Essential Leonard Cohen, The Essential Bruce Springsteen, and The Very Best of Elvis Costello.
  4. Peace, Love, and Understanding- Elvis Costello Take it Easy (Hell Freezes Over version)- The Eagles Tangled Up In Blue- Bob Dylan Your Smiling Face- James Taylor Powderfinger- Neil Young Johnny Strikes Up The Band- Warren Zevon Get Back- The Beatles Great Day- Paul McCartney Kid Charlamegne- Steely Dan Devils and Dust- Bruce Springsteen Three Views of a Secret- Jaco Pastorius So What- Miles Davis I Am Trying to Break Your Heart- Wilco Not Sport, Martial Art- Jim O'Rourke well, that completes the journey thus far.
