  1. Either of these two Rufus Wainwright - The Maker Makes Rufus Wainwright - Dinner At Eight
  2. I have seen him live actually, he was incredible. I actually spoke to him very briefly too at a Death Cab show and he seemed like a really genuine cool guy
  3. I love Till The Sun Turns Black, and I loved it even more after hearing it all live. I don't think he would put out a bad album so this should be awesome
  4. Well it turns out the coral organ is a Phillips organ, Phillicordia. they're pretty awesome. anyone know a good module??
  5. also, does anyone know what this little brown organ the guy from The Coral plays is?? looks pretty cool and compact
  6. thanks Gin, I hadn't thought of modules. I never fully understood how they worked, I do have a small midi keyboard we could use. thing is we don't even really need a full 88 key. and its worth considering whatever we decide on must be able to fit into a Fiat Cinquecento hehe
  7. My band are looking to add some keys to our sound, like Pink Floyd, Hammond kind of sound. I've looked on ebay a bit at older vox organs and stuff but I'm starting to think it may be a better idea to just get a digital stage piano or something, can any keys players recommend a good one for ideally not too much money (can't afford a nord)
  8. I can't wait to hear what happens next, I have a feeling this line up will stick together for a while
  9. the new band is a serious line up, I'm a big Pat fan, He's just got such a great touch with the organ. I didn't realise he was on Heartbreaker too Mikael also, is a great player
  10. I just bought a EHX Delay pedal, with no intention of using as a 'noise' pedal as such but have discovered some it has some disgusting habits pretty cheap too, other than that I just turn the holy grail up full, same with the overdrive and just run stuff up and down the neck
  11. Yes, their drummer is unreal. I used to have the same drum teacher as him and he said it had got to the point where he was learning more from him. I am hyping them up enormously but the live show was awesome. singer used to do all these Jagger moves kinda
  12. I wanted to start this thread after finding an EP of a local band I used to see alot, They're still around under a different name, I haven't seen them play for a while but I must have seen this band around 20 odd times when I was younger Misterhall - Let's Go Ultimate! This is just a glorious, epic piece of jazz/pop/rock this band were nuts, just adored them...I have no idea why they're not the biggest band on earth, so how about a thread for all the blinding unsigned bands you guys have seen who you think deserve a little appreciation This EP is out of print I believe so I hope I don't
  13. This is a tune, love it. Wilco could release a killer b-sides album
  14. I'm not a big Pink Moon fan, Five leaves Left is where its at for me
  15. I would argue this record was maybe even Tweedys strongest lyrically I remember my mother’s Sister’s husband’s brother Working in the goldmine full-time Filling in for sunshine Filing into tight lines Of ordinary beehives The door screams I hate you Hate you hanging around my blue jeans Why is there no breeze No currency of leaves No current through the water wire No feelings I can see I trust no emotion I believe in locomotion But I've turned to rust as we've discussed Though I must have let you down too many times In the dirt and the dust I have no idea how this happens All of my maps h
  16. Did he mention any news on recording?
  17. I still can't get over that line in Kicking Television either, I just find it really hard to imagine Tweedy having a wank, It ruins everything for me
  18. Watch out Nels!! shame this isnt the full performance
  19. I also don't think I will ever get over Nels on 'You Are My Face'
  20. I still don't understand how people don't like this album, Leave Me Like You Found Me is my favourite now I think. just a perfect song and On and On and On is remarkable, Really love this album
  21. for me its Desire or Blood On The Tracks, then Blonde On Blonde. I like Modern Times alot too As for Dylans early electric playing, I love those early shows with Robbie etc when he just takes a swipe at his tele maybe once or twice a verse. I'm pretty sure he is plugged in though
  22. Another new tune up, 'Doubt Is A Lost Road' http://furs.muxtape.com Should be second to last in the list there We recorded this the same time as the others but we wanted to overdub some harmonies, got a bit carried away and it sounds theres like theres a choir on it now, but its cool This is my favourite I think be nice x
