  1. One presidential election wont change everything, but I think Obama is a bigger step foward than Clinton. Clinton is a small step foward. Obama is a jump foward. Anything is will be an improvement than what we have.
  2. Life was also good during Regan too, doesnt mean that much. Sometimes its just cruising time. We are now at a point where change is needed. Obama is the change. Hillary is the same. She is so corporate.
  3. I hate her too. The sad thing is that she is so far ahead of Obama who I really like. I really hope Obama pulls an upset cause he is what America needs. I cant imagine Hillary as our next prez, PLEASE NO!!!!
  4. 1. Wilco 2. Van Morrison 3. Bob Dylan 4. Rolling Stones 5. Pink Floyd 6. Led Zepplin 7. Bob Marley 8. Smashing Pumpkins 9. Sublime 10. Aerosmith (before PUMP)
  5. He does an incredible version of Dylan's Baby Blue.
  6. Exile deserves all the attention, my fav Stones album. Just flat out rocks your socks off. The Stones have alot of good ones I agree especially Sticky Fingers, which I feel is the most polished album. Exile is just so raw and plain just rocks. I love my early Stones and Aerosmith. Nothing like hanging with my buddies drinking it up and smoking with Exile or Rocks blastin.
  7. Yes! I knew you guys in here had good taste. One of my favorite songs is Philosopher's Stone from Back On Top. The song totally described a period of my life with lyrics and just feel of the music. I still can relate to it and brings so many feelings back to me. Before Wilco started taking over my listening time, it was all Van for me. Just so much great music from him.
  8. I think he is less appreciated than others like Dylan and The Beatles in the world of music. Van derserves more credit than he's got for the career he put together. Just because he has a long career doesnt mean he gets the credit that he deserves.
  9. Just wondering if anyone is into his post-Wilco stuff. I did hear a few songs and I did they sounded cool. Didnt totally capture me but I thought the songs were catchy. He sounded like a young Elvis Costello. Maybe I should give his album a try? Anyone have it?
  10. Al is fat, look at the size of his head. He looks so unhealthy.
  11. I remember seeing Oysterhead where Trey was playing a Antler guitar where it would make sounds when he twisted the various antlers.
  12. YES! Van at the top of his game. Young and strong. Check this out too... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZpt0H8gNoM His singing isnt like that anymore, but he's still got alot more than most. He's so old now.
  13. Some real favs of mine are Hard Nose the Highway, Beautiful Vision, Back on Top, St. Dominick's Review, Down The Road, hmmm..... I could go on. IT'S TOO LATE TO STOP NOW was proclaimed one of the best live cd ever made. I like Moondance alot but it seems to be the one that always gets associated with Van Morrison but he has sooo much more. Like 30 plus more incredible albums spanning 40 years. Definitely an underrated artist. To me, he is in the league of legends with Dylan and The Beatles.
  14. Name something new and not already considered a classic. Everyone likes does, they are my favs too.
  15. Time will tell. So what do you like then? Whats a good album to you?
  16. Cant speak for In Rainbows cause I only heard it once so far but I do like it. But Sky Blue Sky is a bonafide great album and a true classic. In the years to come, it will only grow in appreciation. People will wonder why people dont make albums like SBS anymore. So if you dont like those what do you like?
  17. Some of his 90s albums are very strong as well. He's still making albums and touring, what a legend. Like Dylan. I made that soul statement to get a reaction from people, but for a white man, he's pretty black.
  18. Interesting thought but I highly doubt that to be true. Looks like he enjoys it all.
  19. What are you trying to say? Why do you think that?
  20. Maybe James Brown, but thats it, only because he is a freak.
  21. Anybody else a huge fan? A close competition between Wilco and Van Morrison for my favorite band. I have tons of bootlegs and most of his studio albums. Trying to get all his studio albums but most of them are out of print, so not as easy. Van has more soul than any musician ever.
  22. Me too and really enjoy the new album. I heard the songs before live and nice to have them here. Waiting for more on the bonus disc. I will buy the vinyl when it comes out.
  23. Yup Yup I agree, Sylar and Nathan Pertrelli should be DEAD. Annoying. I hope they actually kill off the Dad with glasses to make up for it. I thought Sylar was a petty bad guy and want someone more elaborate.
  24. Totally agree. Seems that's the new trend now with field goals. Stop wasting our time. I also hate the no spiking the ball rule. NFL is on the move to ban emotions from the sport. Next year, a smile after a good play maybe a penalty.
  25. Never hear that one, but somwhere it probably was said. I think his real name say enough. Grossman. He is so gross to watch at times. He stunk it up to start the year and really Greise isnt much better if at all better. Also hate Benson, I think just plain sucks. We have a serious offensive problem. Our Defense and Special Teams is how we win. So sad, dont know what to expect but dont expect much this year. What I hope is Rex getting a second chance and doing something with it. But we need a new RB also. Well, I guess defense could just do all the work also.
