  1. You know a song is big when the cast of Glee has performed it.
  2. Was listening to "Easy" by the Commodores earlier on. Such a great solo, so simple but every note is perfect (starts at 2:48 in the video). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UHfu4w7jS8 So good I had to pick up my guitar and learn it.
  3. For what it's worth she's written/co-written all the songs on her 2 records. She seems to be the real deal. My girlfriend is a huge fan of hers so I've heard the last record quite a bit. There's some solid songs on there for sure, but taken as a whole it doesn't quite do it for me. I like my soul a bit more gritty and my pop a bit more adventurous. She sorta runs it down the middle of those genres so I can see why she's been such a crossover success.
  4. Klaatu - 3:47 EST Numbers - Add Up Grandpaboy - Mono The Who - The Who by Numbers Curtis Mayfield - Sweet Exorcist
  5. Looking forward to hearing it Todd. Is this the one you did that's just voice and guitar?
  6. If you're a dimeadozen member you can download the DVD of that show here: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=391494
  7. I'm a pretty big fan of Graham's, but the wealth of British talent puts him slightly out of reach of my top 10.
  8. Good film. I was in Iceland last summer, there's a guy there that runs a country bar and has a radio station that only plays country. We could only get the station while in the northern part of the country unfortunately, it was great listening while it lasted nonetheless: http://kantry.is/CountryRadio.htm
  9. Just came across this article, looks like an awesome guitar: http://www.americans...-custom-guitar/
  10. I don't think you can find a proper Jazzmaster style guitar any cheaper ($379 retail.) The quality is surprisingly good too. Very nice guitar to play with some good sounds.
  11. Anodyne is my favorite of the Uncle Tupelo albums and has their best overall collection of original songs as far as I'm concerned. No Depression, Still Feel Gone and March 16-20, 1992 are all very solid releases too, some real great songs on all of those and all worth owning.
  12. Yeah, love the Tele too. Great tones and plays like a dream. Did you modify the wiring for a more modern Tele sound or did you keep it in '52 mode? I love the Deja Vibe. You can get some Inspiring sounds from it for sure. Plus it's fairly versatille, you can switch between modern and vintage tonalities (both are good, the modern is slightly brighter in sound), and of course you also can switch between chorus or vibrato. I usually go with the chorus mode in the vintage setting, gives that nice swirling shimmery Hendrix-y vibe ala "Angel."
  13. Time to resurrect this thread. Here's some guitars and amps I haven't posted yet (well other than the Fender Twin that is.) Epiphone Swingster ............................................. American Vintage '52 Telecaster Reissue Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster + Vox AC15C1 ...... '62 Precision Bass Reissue + Bassman TV Fifteen Pulled out all my effects pedals the other day to see if any of the old ones were worth resurrecting. My current setup is usually the Tube Screamer, Peppermint Fuzz, Deja Vibe, Pulsar, Phase 100 and the Boss Analog Delay. If I'm going for a more straightforwa
  14. The image isn't showing up for me, is it the "Sex & Drugs..." biopic by chance?
  15. Picked up the Willie Nile on vinyl for a buck a few months back, well worth it.
  16. Had to learn the solo for Rock Around the Clock after watching this, always thought it was one of the great guitar solos of the era.
  17. Yeah, I stopped scrolling through the list after about 5 or 6 entries, couldn't take any more.
  18. I use a wagon with shock absorbers.
