Bee Gees The Go-Betweens Mission of Burma Squeeze Badfinger Sleater-Kinney ABBA

Indeed. I love the older Go-Betweens records but the last few years I've listened to the newer stuff--Bright Yellow Bright Orange, Oceans Apart, and The Friends of Rachel Worth--way more than the older ones.

Ah, good one, I forgot about that one. That will be my #11.

Waterloo Sunset The Village Green Preservation Society I'm Not Like Everybody Else Dedicated Follower of Fashion Sunny Afternoon Picture Book Victoria A Well Respected Man Till the End of the Day Lola (I know we've all heard it thousands of times over the years, so I sorta get some of the hate for the song. But it has such a memorable guitar intro, great hooks throughout, a killer chorus, and a great arrangement. Any songwriter would kill to write something this good if they're being honest.)

I found out about him a couple years back when Light in the Attic reissued his two records, I've been a fan ever since. I'm really looking forward to watching the documentary. p.s. While driving around town this morning I heard "Sugar Man" on CBC radio (Canadian station.) Pretty cool to see him finally getting some recognition.

Sadly I've only been to two so far: Skydome, Toronto Wrigley Field, Chicago I tried to get tickets for a Red Sox game at Fenway Park shortly before a game once but no luck unfortunately.

Just finished the Scotty Bowers book about his life in Hollywood turning tricks and hooking up various big name "stars" with men and women from his stable. He really exposes a lot of secrets in this one. Good read for anyone Interested in old Hollywood and the behind the scenes shenanigans that went on. I'm a few pages into the Fleetwood Mac one, so far so good.

Spacecraft - Paradoxe Johnny Pate - Outrageous

Halfway through season 3 of WKRP. It's amazing how many lines and plots I've remembered after all these years.
-
It's better than a lot of their recent stuff for sure. It's just too bad the production on this is way too slick and overproduced.
-
I get more into the World Cup but yes I'll be watching some games for sure.
-
That is pretty cool. I guess he's returning the favor.

Well if you manage to finish it you'll have to let me know if I made a mistake giving up on it too soon. I just found that book on one of my bookcases with a bookmark between pages 96-97. Guess I didn't quite make it a 1/3 of the way through.
-
I almost always finish every book I start, though there's been 3 or 4 that I couldn't get through for various reasons. Funnily enough one of the last ones I recall abandoning 1/3 of the way through is "The Shipping News." I just wasn't drawn in by it for some reason. That was many years ago, maybe I'd have a different reaction to it now.

Jagger with Arcade Fire and Foo Fighters
GtrPlyr replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
I like the Foos and all but watching them with Jagger just made me realize how good the Stones are. The Foos kinda steamroll through stuff with all guns blazing. They defnintely rock but they don't have any roll.
