  1. Nice to see. I've eaten there a few times, great sandwiches.
  2. Loved their contribution to the Repo Man soundtrack. Unfortunately that's all I have from them. Can't find this one on any download sites either, must be pretty hard to find.
  3. True. A lot of the ones listed are overlooked or not well known rather than underrated.
  4. I'm more of a Fender/Vox guy but I can't deny the massive influence his amps have had over the past 50 some odd years. A true legend.
  5. Watched this last night. Pretty interesting doc, gets into how the band dynamics and individual personalities in the band tore them apart over time. Other than Angelo and Norwood, not sure that any other original band members are part of the current line up.
  6. ^ Yeah, Danny was amazing. All great choices. And my 3 for tonight are: Roy Buchanan Terry Callier Ron Sexsmith
  7. Lovely looking amps you've got there Reflected. I'm a big fan of old tube amps, unfortunately I don't have anything that fits the bill in my personal collection unless a '99 Fender Twin Reverb counts.
  8. Middle row, far left: Does anyone know what the big metal pedal just to the left of the Big Cheese (the orange one) is?
  9. I'll Play along. Here's what I can make out so far: Electro-Harmonix - Holy Grail Nano Moog Music - Moogerfooger MF-104 (w/Expression pedals) Sarno Music Solutions - Earth Drive Freakshow - Brown Rabbit Freakshow - FX Number 9 Boost Lovetone - Big Cheese Death By Audio - Total Sonic Annihilation Xotic Effects - RC Booster Ooh La La - Torn's Peaker Boss - Chromatic Tuner TU-2 Voodoo Lab - Pedal Power 2 Plus
  10. And the girl with the flute: "My lips are for Blowing," classic.
  11. Yes! The drums have always stood out to me on those Big Star records too. His patterns and fills are always so perfect for the songs. I often have Jody in mind when coming up with drum parts for my own songs a: WWJD sorta thing.
  12. That's pretty funny. Good to see them poking fun at all the formats the new record is out on. Anyone know if TWL ever came out on 8-Track?
  13. The Magnetic Fields tonight.
  14. You did put fun. in all lowercase so unless someone has heard of the band they probably wouldn't know what you meant. Just sayin' .
  15. It was down for a few hours the other day, but has been fine ever since (at least for me that is.)
  16. Fun song, I'm digging it. Nice touch having a whistle solo too, not something that is commonly done these days.
  17. A lot of great stuff from all decades of recorded music, but my overall favorite 10 year stretch would have to be 1965-1974. If had to settle on a specific decade I suppose the '70s would win by a nose as lot of my all-time favorite records came out then: Marquee Moon, There's a Riot Goin' On, Who's Next, Exile on Main St., Nilsson Schmilsson, Blue, Ziggy Stardust, Electric Warrior, Maggot Brain, Third/Radio City/#1Record, Lick My Decals Off, Baby, What's Going On, Blood on the Tracks, On the Beach, New York Dolls, Transformer, Pink Moon, Something/Anything, Jailbreak, Exodus, Labour of Lust..
