Camping would be interesting and paying to check in a tent might be cheaper than a hotel anyway. It's the flights and rental car that are going to be brutal. Anyone have any guesses at some of the other non wilco related bands that might play? A set by Feist might be nice and maybe some Grizzly Bear. Do any of the locals know if Albany would be the cheapest airport to fly into or is there something maybe a little further that might be a little cheaper? I also didn't realized the Holiday jacked up their price. The first night I heard about this fest it looked like reservations were in

Is anyone interested in a possible car/hotel share for this show? I'm a 34/m from Phoenix and would love to save some costs with 1 or more people coming from out of state. This is going to cost quite a bit flying from Phoenix, but i'm determined to make it happen. I'm a pretty normal and responsible individual for what it's worth.

I was there. He had trouble keeping it kid friendly. It was fun stuff.

I also love the Beatrix Kiddo avatar. I really need to post on this board more often.

Dexter is such a great fucking show. I have just motored through the first 3.5 seasons in the last 3 weeks. Sorry back to the show.

Definitely in the top 5. "nothing" is so fucking cathartic.

I'm so damn excited right now. I take breaks from this band because I see them and listen to them so much and i'm blown away every time I come back. I listen to all their live shows when they stream and this one has not even cut out once for me. I can't wait for Wilcofest.

Was so happy I got that at the Tucson show last year AND Reservations.

Holy shit they have improved their streaming eh? This is a crystal clear listen since I started 10 minutes ago. Have they been playing a while already?

I was pretty close to you. Row 13 dead center. I really enjoyed the sound during the last two songs. That theater is so acoustically devine and Jeff projected perfectly. Hearing the acoustic and his voice in the natural state was stellar. -

lol Jeff is rarely on key himself but I get it. Not looking for an argument. It just reminded me of the people who didn't like the fact that I was standing at the Tucson show. They were also looking for a relaxing night out and argued since they paid for their seat it was rude for people to be standing at a rock concert. Apples and oranges I know. It sucks being around people who don't know how to enjoy themselves. The talkers are the worst but I must say it was quiet at last nights show. I really appreciated the lack of conversation and the focus on Jeff. -

Jesus etc. wasn't in the last two songs, so that would be another time. In fact the sing along during Jesus etc. was damn beautiful. What's wrong with people quietly singing along to the songs? Talkers, cell phone freaks and other distractions are certainly unaccaptable but singing along, really? We need permission and to be prompted and only then we can sing along? -

Once a taper was finally ready to share it you would find it in the "in a future age" section of the board, I think. -
Yes, there were many jokes he told about his sister and how big the guest list was because of her. I started a thread in "after the show" as well. I will add this full set list to that thread as well.

Beautiful show. I was row 13 dead center and he sounded fantastic. Here's what was played that I know and yes he played a lot more. The show was about 90 minutes which was a little disapointing since the lady who seated me said "2 1/2 hours and no intermission" but still awesome none the less. Jeff joked all night about his sister being there and how he played the show to pay for the trip to see her for the holidays. He also joked half the crowd was her guest list. He toyed with some shouters who wanted him to be a human juke box. He was in good spirits. The last two songs he played

How Is Kicking Television holding up?
faxman75 replied to Livin' in New Orleans's topic in Just A Fan
I listen to the Ashes of American Flags Audio tracks more than any other recording. It has taken the place of Kicking TV. It's far superior as Nels is full unleashed and the solos are far superior in my opinion. I love the track listing and the more up to date track listing and the mix is ACES. I have been telling people all year these audio tracks are better than any other Wilco release or recording IMO. Outside of the audio tracks from Ashes I listen to Winter Residency Night 1. I don't know if it was because I was there but that night had my favorite set list and the best energy of al -
Currently packing. Flight leaves at 8:45AM. Two nights in Colorado. Night one = Wilco Night two = cabin in the mountains. Rock!
-
If I'm in a reserved seat in row 35 or so, does that mean if I stand and rock while they play, i will be told to sit down and rock? I really want to stand and watch. How will this work? I was told to sit in Tucson and sitting at a rock show is a horrible idea for everyone involved.
-
I will be there! I can't wait. I would love to get a closer ticket i'm in row 36 but this is my first trip to red rocks and my 3rd Wilco show of the year so I can't complain too much. My ticket is will call, anything I need to do special? Like get there super early? Also, anyone in Denver who can sell me a joint or two would kick soooo much ass!

ooh fresh new solo from Nels there...?
-
I enjoy you are my face more every time I hear it. It's fucking beautiful.

Is Nels on the lap steel in this one?
