Only weak link on this album is king of you, mostly because it doesn't seem to stand out due to it being somewhat of a continuation of the song before it. That's probably my only complaint at the moment

yeah, this had something to do with The Roadcase releases, big reason they didn't play those songs is due to the fact that they can't release them on Roadcase without paying royalities...at least that's what I've heard. It's not because the band realizes those songs aren't very good, as I'd originally expected (lol). where can I hear this Pitchfork interview?

It was mentioend in the Pitchfork fest thread that they will. I'm pretty sure that's there reasoning for releasing the album. Nice way to build up excitement for their show.

Too early for me, but it's definitely better then Wilco the Album...no doubts about that

i've listened to the record 6 times now...think it;s time to call it a night. I'll have sweet Wilco dreams tonight. Album is fantastic, and everything I wanted from a new album. Unique and adventurous. I knew these guys still had it in them.

So my perception of the art and the name of the album is that they released the album on social media. What are the biggest things on Facebook? Cat videos and Star Wars trailers. The force awakens is the number one viewed trailer of all time. That's just a hunch though. I could be way off

I think they actually designed the album cover with the tote bag in mind this time. I mean the album cover totes looks like a tote bag. Totes.

It's cool that there are premiering them at pitchfork...but if I had just spent $1000s of dollars to go see them in Solid Sound I may be just a tad butthurt.

I completely agree, concept records , or albums when one general theme/sound are typically my favorite. This seems like their most thematic record since Sky Blue Sky for sure
