Wilco skipped Florida during the Sky Blue Sky tour which is really a shame...because based on the Ashes DVD It would have been a hell of a show. I guess "an evening with Wilco" made up for it. I actually saw Wilco on the YHF tour in a "movie theater" in West Palm Beach...that was the day I became a die hard fan. Seen them 3 times since. Would totally drive to Orlando or Tampa if they were coming.

That album art screams "Dad Rock" ..just kidding Pissed at no Florida dates..AGAIN!!!!

Well I think they will have a better chance of controlling the leak possibility. Also tour dates have been announced...No Florida...per usual.

So only 12 songs? What happened to the other 8? Looks like a "Tour EP" should b in the works Also it probably won't "leak" as they are self releasing it. Kinda like Radiohead.

I agree my first thought was, this is better then anything on the last album. What a relief.

for those that missed them, they weren't that great. Just bits and pieces of the band screwing around. I'm excited to hear the new songs though...Im sure they will debut quite a few at Solid Sound...also expect an announcement on the album title/track list

pretty much agree...the album feels like an afterthought. I havent listened to it in awhile, and I have no want to. In comparison I've probably listened to Sky Blue Sky just as much as their other albums...Y.H.F, being their most played for sure. REALLY hope this new album delivers.....

so far I feel the album titles have done a pretty good job of representing the albums themselves. In fact most are actually featured in a song on the album. Wilco (the album) was a pretty good fit for an album that felt like a summary of the band then a step forward.

the only concert I sat at was M.Ward..but that was because I was in a balcony seat. In these occassions I was in the front 4 rows..right near the stage. I agree though if everyone is sitting, I usually end up sitting too...however I think the reason most people are sitting is because they are "nervous" to stand up. If I played a concert in front of 1000s of people I would be pissed that people were sitting and clapping. This aint the Opera.

I've seen Wilco 4 times...two of those times there were people sitting and Wilco basically made fun of the audience and forced everyone to stand. The first time was at the YHF tour...and Jeff basically said "You guys can stand..this isn't Wilco the movie...come on stand up everybody!" the second time..there was a "pit" in front of the stage that was completely empty. Jeff said...why are you guys so far away? Come up here. At that point everyone rushed the stage..we were right up front. The other two times were standing room only GA. Which I prefer to seats. It's not like a punk concert wher

yes. The internet represents the very best and the very worst of society. The morons tend to overshadow everything. I didn't come up with the name. It's been an internet "meme" for like 10 years now..

umm..yeah..obviously if the single isnt on an album I would still listen to it. I just hate when an artist puts out a single from their album like 6 months in advance..you end up listening to the song over and over on its own, and when it finally comes on the album you don't really want to hear that song anymore. I will probably break down and listen to the Solid Sound single though..there are certain bands I have a hard time waiting for.

I am a whole album or nothing person...its very hard for me to listen to an album if I only like a few tracks. I tend to not listen to singles before an album releases either, as I think it ruins the feeling of the song. The song also feels old already by the time the album releases. Kinda ruins the album experience for me.

A "rickroll" is basically some jack ass posting a YouTube link and saying...OMG NEW WILCO SONG....and it turns out to be a stupid cat video. It's called a Rick roll because originally everyone would link to a Rick Astley video. In the At Ease boards (especially when a new album is about to break)..there is one on like every page. It sucks because when an actual link is legit you automatically think its fake due to the overwhelming amount of morons posting fake links. Just another reason the internet sucks.

I just want Nels CLine to rip loose, I feel likes he's kind of held back the last two records. The times when he does like in Impossible Germany and One Wing are my favorite parts of those albums. I know there is a minority that think Cline has "ruined" wilco...I disagree...I just think he needs to be given a little more freedom to experiment. His solo stuff is way out there.

I was on the At Ease boards for the release of HTTT, In Rainbows, and KOL. The quanity of quality posts has declined there over the years. It's mostly just avatar jokes and rick rolls now. Every once in a while a thread appears that is worth reading..the essential live thread is pretty amazing.
