1.ghost is born 2.summerteeth 3.yhf 4.whole love(except the title of the album) 5.sky blue sky 6.all the unreleased songs 7.mermaid aves 8.being there 9.am 10-wta -2 and 3 are interchangable.6 could technically be the complete recordings but its missing many great tunes, a new complete recordings should be made with tweedy songs,b-sides,wilco book songs since that doesnt seem to count and get rid of the live recordings. curious if the mermaid ave 3 will have unheard tweedy sung tunes.

Top 3 All Time Underrated things on music earth
dthedust replied to IRememberDBoon's topic in Someone Else's Song
i think billy talbot from crazy horse deserves a bit more recognition. when i listen to everybody knows this is nowhere he is all i hear. -
wilco is getting to famous for me now. seems like the last time they were at grinders it didnt sell out until that night, so it goes. if anyone has a few tickets, shit even one, im your man. thanks-dthedust@aol.com

cains is a sanctuary in a world of verizon wirelesses', and if not perhaps its age. tickets are hard to get for any big/gish name band . im from kansas city, and we are quite sophisticated, but not enough to get tickets to cains since 2009ish[whenever tweedy rocked the burrito bros. jacket]

not to get off topic but id be cool if jeff covered townes van zandt, our mother the mountain perhaps.in the kansas city area. also an acetone song would sound good, never knew why they didnt make it before richie lee died.

may 10th-grinders/crossroads kc? i was so prepared. or tweedy at granada for quick show? you used to like us.

binocular. in donnie darko drew barrymore says cellar-door is the most beautiful word in the english language. after hearing that statement i did a thorough investigation myself. binocular is much better.

quick tweedy quote that i forgot and most of you would know
dthedust replied to dthedust's topic in Just A Fan
after reading countless interviews from when i think it was said, between sbs and wta, jeff tweedy should be given an honorary doctorate in sociology. ill wait one more day because i thought analogman posted a link to it.thanks for not erasing it as it doesnt matter to anyone else, i just thought it was worth remembering. -
sorry to have to take up a topic on this but its such a great quote. i will erase tomorrow and tattoo it on my arm as well. the quote is something along the lines of " Yeah the news is in. Experimenting with sound works". Clearly more poignant but im sure someone here can tell me. I did multiple searches on the internet but couldnt find it.sorry and thanks.

solo album? id be curious how he writes

i request let me come home for every wilco show i go to.i know its not gonna happen, but tweedy almost makes a grown man cry with that one.i imagine its hard to hit those notes after playing any other song live.perhaps if someone could invite me to a living room show...

Oh I'll be going to see wilco and buying the albums as long as they come out. I also don't think I said they aren't making albums with the "valid" wilco sound, because that changed from album to album.even though sbs is not many members fav, I like it, and it's definately a different direction than agib. The 100% part, it doesn't sound like they did at all with wta. No demos from wta or sbs is dissappointing and makes me wonder how much time their spending on each song. But yes I have no clue since I'm not there. And nels is a fucking guitar god, but I don't think that's always a good thing. G

it doesnt seem like jeffs songwriting is the problem at all to me.my and i thought most peoples complaints about the last two albums was it didnt seem like they were trying very hard to find what they ,i assume, worked their asses off earlier.now they dont have to try as hard, or the current lineup is to good.i think people want tweedy back on lead guitar.i do.nels is amazing, but maybe too good?the only person im not a fan of is pat,he is super talented, but i think hes there for the youngsters so theyll stop jumping on stage whilst drunk.either way, tweedys lyrics are always superb, country dis

your getting so famous wilco.i know kc lacks decent venues, but please dont switch over to playing sandstone, ever.

ive read a lot of the posts and agree with some.i think going from a ghost is born to sky blue sky as a pretty big step in a different direction.but the wta was a dissapoinment to me because it sounded like a typical rock album, granted tweedys lyrics will make any song worth listening to a million times.the lack of demos makes me curious on how much they tried different techniques to the songs,or maybe i dont have them.but yes summerteeth and yhf are the a couple of the best albums ever made.reading this quote actually made me laugh out loud for real, i dont really laugh.-Tweedy: I don't think

i would have liked it more then heavy metal drummer myself, but same with summerteeth and candyfloss, they seem to throw songs that arent in the same lyrical vein[?] as the rest of the their best albums.though the sound on candyfloss was cool,it literally sounds like i imagine candyfloss would taste like

Capitilization?not quoting correctly?apostrophe?not spacing after a sentence?song lyric preference?what is the answer punctuation Nazi?
-
commas?or pats annoying stage gimmicks for drunk college kids?
-
at least thats what you said has always been my number one i agree with this 100 percentage.i also like panthers.promising.let me come home a lot.but in every song theres at least one verse thats beautiful.
-
really?the lyrics seemed tweedyed.im sure its been asked but why wasnt that song on yhf?that woulda fit nicely and been one of the more popular songs on the album, because of the jay sizuation?
-
i meant bird kinda transitions his lyrics the same way emcees do.was gonna say alexander pope but modern.dr seuss would be a discredit to andrew bird
-
ah.ok, dr.seuss?all i know is tweedy is joyce asshole.
-
i like seeing jeff at shows tell people how to be considerate.if you want to fuck around go outside.hes emotional about his fucking music.plus his lyrics are amazing.speaking of which panthers lyrics are outstanding.id love to see that solo.and if jeff wrote venus stop the train which im sure he did, amazing.tweedy is the james joyce of rock and roll.tweedys best songs are the ones that give a shape to a story that might be his or yours.bird is good, ive never been to one of these fingerlings shows, but hes more like the biggie of music.
