  1. Yeah, those old Rickenbachers look like a freight train.. That's the bass he would play.
  2. Oh I'll be a geek in a theatre full of geeks on the day it comes out.
  3. I watched it via DVD from Netflix. It's true that it isn't available in "watch now", but the Mermaid Ave documentary "Man in the Sand" is.
  4. Darth Vader spared in Jail in Jedi Church attack The funniest part about this article is that there is actually a Jedi Church.. "Unfortunately for Hughes, his March attack was recorded on a video camera that the cousins had set up to film themselves in a light saber battle." And I thought I was a Star Wars geek...
  5. Yeah, I don't live in Chicago, but I live in sort of a "city" area, and I've never had luck with a transmitter. It will work great for about 30 seconds, and then STATIC...
  6. Yeah, thats what I need. Then I wouldn't have dozens of burned CD's sliding around the floor and flying out of my sun visor, hitting me in the head.
  7. How do you people listen to your iPods in the car? Do you have an input on your stereo? Or you have to resort to FM transmitters?
  8. I'm glad you get to go! I wish I had an extra for you.. Good luck though, I'm sure you'll find a ticket.
  9. My favorite so far: Room of Inverted Radar Orson Welles Famous People The Carpal Tunnels Moving Parts Magic Angle Artifact And if we were going to be a goof off band: Pinata Full of Puppies The Martha Stewart houseparty experience A Streetcar Named Fuck Dick Cheney's Guitar Army aka The Go Fuck Yourselves Before You Pass Judgment, Keep in Mind this is Only a Side Project (B.Y.P.J.K.I.M.T.I.O.A.S.P. for short.)
  10. I've got a little 2 gig MP3 player (can't remember the make right now) that I love. It plays pretty much any music format, and it's the size of a lighter. I only us CD's in the car because all my music is on my computer (which has a killer sound system).. I tried using an FM transmitter with my MP3 player in attempt to eliminate CD's, but the FM transmitter just sucks.. Too much interference and the volume is low.
  11. Here's how I rank the songs so far: 1. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (we all know this song kicks major ass.. it's a Rock Epic) 2. Pork and Beans (I just LOVE the chorus of this song.. The guitar is so beefy) 3. Heart Songs (great lyrics, music/melody sounds a little R&B, but it works) 4. Dreamin (sounds like the old Weezer sound and it turns into another Rock Epic) 5. Troublemaker (not a great song, but it's kind of catchy and I like the guitar riff) 6. Thought I Knew (eh.. Brian needs to stay on backup vocals) 7. Cold Dark World (never let the bass player sing) 8. Everybody Get D
  12. I actually saw them in Charlotte on their last tour and Shannon was wearing a white dress and make-up.. It was at a festival and The Ramone's were the headliner. It was also The Ramone's last tour.
  13. Black Denim Jacket This would be my choice if it wasn't so much like My Morning Jacket.
  14. Yeah, too bad the singer had to be such a Rock Star.. They could have been one of those 90's bands that still tours today. I'd go see them.
  15. Irish Barstool. Great band name!
  16. that's going on the list. Fuck it, I'm naming the band "lol" nope..
  17. That one is going on the list.. I like it. Doh! Nevermind.. Second time this has happened. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moving_Parts Actually, they broke up a long time ago and they were short-lived. Maybe we could use it afterall.
  18. Were Tapers Present Man, they are just flowing out of me now..
  19. Definitely consider that one. And "The Boo Hiss" "Girth"
  20. I've bought several pedals from EBAY, but I have kind of gotten away from it lately because you really don't save much money.. Unless it's an old beat up pedal.. But if you want one that is relatively new, most of the time you'll be lucky if you save $10-$20 and you'll end up paying that in shipping. But if you find a good deal on one, go for it. Normally, if it looks like it's in good shape from the pictures, you're good to go. For example, BOSS pedals pretty much last forever, so I have never thought twice about buying those used. Good luck.
