  1. After hearing some people call it an album of filler songs I was pleasantly surprised to hear how amazing this album actually is. But ever since listening to it, Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark has been obsessively playing in my head. I don't dislike Bruce, but never been a real fan. There's no reason for that song to be in my head. Then today I realized it's because somehow parts of the song Cry All Day remind selfconciously of DitD. Still, I love that song and think the whole album is great!
  2. Thanks. That was fun to watch. I may go out and get a few of those.
  3. I've been waiting for a moment like this... http://instagram.com/p/x70th0MRdT/?modal=true
  4. I love this song as well as the entire album, but can't help but notice that the vocal phrasing sounds similar to the song Dreaming that he plays solo.
  5. Wilco is their bread and butter. They've got to eat. They ain't going nowhere.
  6. I always loved this article. I go back and read it every now and again. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=35534
  7. Long Time Ago from Golden Smog's Another Fine Day has been my driving buddy all week. Along with Listen Joe from the same album, Answers to your Questions from BAITUSA, Ashes of American Flags from YHF, and The Family Gardener from The Minus 5. It's a part of a sweet ass compilation I made.
  8. Have you ever noticed that Another Man's Done Gone is pretty much the ground floor for Rhythm? The piano is played in the same style with very similar chords and Jeff's vocal phrasing in both songs is like a mirror image of each other. I enjoy both songs immensely though, although if I was forced to give a nod to one or the other, Rhythm would probably take the prize due to my relation to the subject.
  9. I sit on the couch alone Where you sit when I'm not home And I feel so close to you From Leave me (Like you found me) Such a cool song, especially the eerie electonic sounds over the pre-chorus. But, those lines are kind of lame.
  10. Whether you're watching a movie, listening to the radio, or someone talk... As soon as you hear the word "However" your immediate reply is "You might feel tonight is real". :}
  11. Wilco is my all-time favorite band, followed closely by Radiohead. The crossover is easy for me. But, to each their own. What sounds good is unique and different to each individual ear. But, I love them both.
  12. Danny Carey is tops. Alex Van Halen was pretty good too. No one entertains me more than Kotche. I saw him open for Jeff once in LA. He was mesmerizing all by himself.
  13. I went to Virgin Megastore today in So Cal and talked to the manager re: the EP. He had no idea what I was talking about. I then drove to an indy store called Rhino records and they had a ton...free with each purchase of the DVD edition. I was stoked!! For someone trying to obtain it, they might be able to mail it to you. Rhino Records...Claremont, California.
  14. I think Impossible Germany is about WWII and how we should learn from our past. I love how it leads into a song that reminds me of someone walking through his home town post-war (SBS). PS. Damn this is a great cd. Addicted from day 1.
