  1. he does one on the third letters to santa show at the coleman home in winnetka, il, available here: http://www.owlandbear.com/2007/05/15/hoste...y-march-3-2007/
  2. this last day was amazing, despite the delays and minor sound problems for some bands, the Ponys included. the best act was by far the new pornographers, and even though they didn't have neko, the girl they had was just as good and her voice sounds almost exactly the same. they tore through great versions of all their classics, use it, laws have changed, sing me spanish techno, bleeding heart show, jackie dressed in cobras, plus a few new numbers from the upcoming lp that really charged the crowd. the second best act was definitely Nomo, the jazz-funk fusion group from Ann Arbor. incredible h
  3. anybody have that show and wanna post it?
  4. yes yes please...did anyone record this show? probably the best version of pot kettle black ever.
  5. seriously, i feel like this current lineup could totally blast through lots of the older numbers...how insane would it be to see a that's not the issue, or a dreamer in my dreams? or a monday, perhaps one similar to the version on iattbyh? so many possiblities...seeing them tear through outtasite, they looked like they were having so much fun, they definitely should bust out the old numbers more often
  6. i'm always in love is currently spinning nonstop in my music collection as well. i feel summerteeth's title track doesn't get much respect, either, though, and that's an absolutely phenomenal song. the surreal lyrics, the impeccable chord progression, bennett's production, the ooohs and aaahhs at the end...how have they not performed this live since 2000?
  7. does anyone know where i could get the poster for this show? it's not available on wilcoworld.
  8. yeah definitely a great show that just grew and grew. the encore was the best -- the band got real into outtasite, makes me wish they'd use that wayback machine more often.
  9. I think the best version of 'ashes' i've ever heard is the one from the auditorium theatre this past november, the second show on the 25th.... they just tear it up at the end with this extended coda, and nels melts many faces
  10. definitely shot in the arm... the audience gets so into that one and at least that's what you said
  11. any thoughts on when this might be from
  12. the decemeberists show is indeed free, and they are also playing with the grant park symphony
  13. Does anyone know the exact location of the wilco loft? I live just north of the city and can't be more than twenty minutes away from it and it kills me that i can't check it out. kot's "learning how to die" mentions that it's in albany park, but that's the most specific i've seen. someone's gotta know it!
  14. yeah i'd have to go with either "I have no idea how this happens" or "That's good enough for now..."
