Loose Fur's Born Again In The USA
NationalDust replied to NationalDust's topic in Someone Else's Song
Loose Fur was, I mean, not BAITUSA. Jim O'Rourke introduced Kotche to Tweedy and the three of them started playing together and stuff and Jeff decided to trade Coomer out for Kotche. -
haha... nice

I reckon 12 Diet Cokes a day is much better than 12 Pabst Blue Ribbons a day...

Loose Fur's Born Again In The USA
NationalDust replied to NationalDust's topic in Someone Else's Song
I own both, but Born Again In The USA is my favorite by far. Does anyone else think maybe Hey Chicken was written about Bennett? -
I got it as a Valentine's Day gift and it hasn't left the rotation on my CD player yet. If you haven't heard Loose Fur, you really should. Really really... it was the beginning of the Kotche saga (kotche as Wilco's drummer that is)

Dang, I lost the stream and it's not loading back up.. I need to go retrieve my laundry anyway.

How About Hey Chicken by Loose Fur -
it's so quiet, I'm missing a lot of the quieter songs... I missed the beginning of At Least That's What You Said, and it's one of my faves
-
that chat is messing with my audio really badly I was looking forward to seeing what everyone had to say about the show.

Little Miss Can't Be Wrong by Spin Doctors or Song For The Dumped by Ben Folds Five -
Oh sweet! thanks for the link :wub

me too, I have the quicktime thing already on my screen

I think it would be cool to use the chat page to have a realtime chat through the webcast. It'll be like watching it with friends, only it won't be insanely obnoxious to everyone else to talk through the performance. see the "Because I'm Kind Of A Geek" thread or click here if you're interested.

I heart helpful Internet people

I'm in a band with a guy who does that all the time. He'll present a song to m e, and I'm like "Dude, that sounds just like !" and he usually just keeps on going with it. Eventually, it takes a turn and ends up sounding like our song when we jam on it for a little bit.

I think maybe you need to have purchased the new CD in order to hear it

I get excited when I hear a band I like on the radio. I used to play Modest Mouse's The Moon and Antarctica at work a lot and people bitched about it until Float On became pretty regularly played. I was pretty happy about that. The only reason I would like bands to play small clubs and bars is because it makes them more approachable after the show. I like to talk to the performers afterwards, but I'm not going to try sneaking around and being all obnoxious to try to get to them.

Hell yeah... one of the many things he did to show that he was going to do whatever he wanted no matter what the record companies said about it.
-
pfft... The two seconds I was away from my computer, someone came in and then left.

Wilco ruled the universe for a few seconds
-
Funny thing... I'm actually wearing a Wilco t-shirt haha By the way, I'm in the chat if anyone wants to try it out.

Good grammar is sexy
-
umm... no... *whistle"

Exactly... I want people to hear it and like it because I enjoy having music as a common bond between a friend and myself. Also I agree that I just don't understand how someone can't enjoy something that I love so much.
