  2. Octahedron- The Mars Volta Mama I'm Swollen- Cursive Turn On The Bright Lights- Interpol
  3. I don't know. I feel like Heartbreaker falls off towards the end of the album. I guess 'pales in comparison' was a bit strong, but I like Gold far better and I would say that Easy Tiger is the second best. Having said that, some of my favorite Ryan Adams songs come off Heartbreaker, but it doesn't work for me as well on the whole.
  4. If you want to be able to hear every intricacy to an album then listen to it on vinyl. Concerts are there for the interaction and part of that is singing along. It's just one more connection between the audience and band.
  5. A few albums that I've been into a lot lately: Seven Swans- Sufjan Stevens (Beautiful stripped down sufjan at his best. One of the most intimate albums I've ever heard) Octahedron- The Mars Volta (The best album they've put out since Frances. Cedric is perfection on this album) Gold- Ryan Adams (All of his other albums pale in comparison to this masterpiece.)
  6. The Lonely 1 Jesus, Etc. She's A Jar
  7. I'll be there. After driving across the south four times (and riding a train to chicago last summer) it will be nice seeing them play down the road. 2 min drive to the lyric will be sweet.
  8. I'm not sure if anyone can help me, but I'm trying to find the Dr. Dog set list from this show. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. I just found out there is a very good chance that I won't be able to attend the little rock show. When I am certain I will let anyone know on here.
  10. The server was so busy this morning. I got a down server message everytime I continued to the next page.
  11. You're on the ame row as me. I'm seat 229 and 230. Are you familiar with the venue? If sow how close is that? I'm also in section 2 row DD seats 1,2,3 and 4 for the southaven show.
  12. I am in the same exact situation but I'm in Oxford. I got row section 2 row DD seats for southaven, and Orchestra row d seats for Little rock. And I also might now be able to make it to the little rock show. If I can't make it my two tickets will be for sale on here.
  13. How do I go about signing up for the presale?
  14. Oh I know about how the band is playing. I drove seven hours to see them at Chastain, so the hour jaunt for Southaven and the three hours for Little Rock seem like childs play in comparison. I'm also contemplating Voodoo Fest (although the festival environment isn't my favorite) but the thought of seeing these guys four times in as many months makes me giddy like a schoolgirl.
  15. I live in Oxford MS which is about an hour south of Memphis and I'm going to the South Haven show on the 13th. But should I go to the Little rock show the next week? It's only like a three hour drive and I'm thinking hard about it, but I don't know.
  16. Don't worry...I pretty much pissed my pants when I saw that date on the list. I drove 5 hours from Jackson to Atlanta to see the band, and I will definatly not be missing this show for anything. I'm going to school at Ole Miss right now so I'm only about 45 minutes away. I CAN'T WAIT.
  17. I've only seen the band twice, but when they played Via Chicago at the Chastain show in the rain I just lost it. I was so moved by every part of that song...I can't even describe it.
  18. This was only my second time to see wilco (the first coming in Meridian MS last march) and I must say that everything about this show was spectacular. Every song from Sky Blue Sky was perfect, and when they played via Chicago I almost cried. The rain wasn't bad under my poncho, and I didn't really hear much talking (row M seat 118). The sound wasn't bad but I really only have one show to compare it with so I'm not sure if it is usually louder, but I found it rather enjoyable. And this version of Spiders was the best one that I think I've ever heard the guys play. Everything about this show
  19. We're leaving at 8 in the morning, so that should put us at our hotel at around 3 or 4 depending on the traffic. I'm staying at the holiday inn express in Smyrna. If anyone is familiar with the area what time do you think I should leave to get to the show on time?
  20. I'm coming from the Jackson area. So it's a straight shot on I-20 for me.
  21. I've been a wilco fan for about 3 years now, and I've only seen the band once. This will be my first official road trip to see the band. Me and two friends will be coming from Mississippi. I haven't been this excited about anything in a long time.
