talking to a magazine that has featured Obama on the cover 7 times vs. 2 for McCain within the last 8 months might make someone a little "prickly."
media bias like that would put anyone in a sour mood.
Boo hoo hoo media bais again, please. Time's job is to sell magazines Obama is a much more charismatic person. He is what people are interested, hate 'em or love him. Also remember Obama was in a much longer fight for his parties nomination where he was actually news for several months, whereas McCain not so much. If you where the editor of Time think to yourself one guy has just come out of a long bitter fight to get his parties nomination. Should we put him on the cover, or should we put a guy who hasn't really said or don anything for the past couple weeks. Gee I don't know I'd pick Obama.
On to the fact of the interview, man it reaffirms my belief that McCain is a hothead, and when he thinks things don't go his way he can be a bit of a baby. I am very disappointing that he has been so easy to drop his interactions with the media.

I have a real fear of Zombies, and Zombie attacks.

if you are looking to buy one because of its "environmental" value then don't bother. You will end up with a much lower carbon footprint or what not if you buy a used fuel efficient vehicle. I can't remember what the exact numbers are right now but a used car is way way more environmentally friendly then any new hybrid.

It's Biden.
...
So much for the text message. If there is a big story to to found out, than the media will find it, and they will find it out before anyone else does.
Anyone else sign up for the text message? I did and I got a message a 2:40 in the f'ing morning. That was annoying. I understand the need to get that out there but hard working middle class families need to sleep in the middle of the night.
Guess I gotta support Bob Barr, now.

this surprises you? Once an A-hole, always an A-hole.

considering his post BFF work has been just decent to average at best,...
Wrong.
Case and Point, "Late" and "Landed (string Version)" from Songs for Silverman; and "Still Fighting It" from Rockin the Suburbs.
Three great songs.

Ben folds admits to leaking his "fake" album.
Rolling Stone article: http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/225...it_ben_folds_co
I think he might have turned some people off with these fake songs though. They sound just enough like real, albeit sucky, songs that people might have been turned off from buying the album. I know I was!
I actually like the fake album. The lyrics are pretty trite, but damn they are bunch of hooky pop songs that get stuck in your head.
Plus when a lyric references Rushmore, it gains some points for me.
The fact the leak was fake makes me want to buy the album even more

weird. i cried during that song at the 930 club one night

make sure you not burning data files or Mp3 CDs (Edit>Preferences>Adavanced>Burning>Disc Format). Make sure it say audio.
If you have another burning program try that too prior to shelling out a couple hundred bucks for a new burner.

Steely Dan were (and are) amazing. People who say they don't like them are probably just trying to look cool.
Normally I don't go into a thread and hate on the topic or whatnot, but this comment is making me do it. So I will say this once and never comment on the topic again. I hate Steely Dan. They are the are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
Steely Dan is the plague of Rock music and should be summarily wiped from music history.
I can offer no valid reason why I hate Steely Dan, but if a song comes on the radio either I turn the station or scream in horror until it is mercifully over.
And anyone who knows me knows, I am not trying to look cool.
That is all, please go on.

Video for Hiroshima here
From the songs I have heard so far, I think this might be a concept album based on the life of a touring rock star. I may be wrong, I have been in the past.
-
Unfortunately, that's the real studio track. He recorded crowd noises and sounds at shows in the spring and used them on the recording.
That is unfortunate. I hear in there a good track that could be pretty cool, but I think it may suffer from the Jay Bennett syndrome.
-
I can't tell if Hiroshima is a live track or not. If it is then I have hope for the song. If not it is terrible.

This is bigger then SNL!
Generally the band or members of the band are interviewed by the Radio guys (Pat Huges and Ron Santo) TV (Len Kasper and Bob Brenly)in the bottom of the 6th and top of the 7th respectively. The game looks to be televised on WGN America so there is a good chance of most of the country seeing this. But if you have the means listen to it on the radio, cause it should be a weird weird interview.
You know what is strange about this as well, I heard an interview with Wilco back in 2000 or so and Jeff said he was a Cards fan.

I love Elvis, but I just can't get into this album. It might be too all over the place for me.

The Gear Daddies? Or is my soft Minnesota underbelly showing?
I am afraid so. Outside of Minnesota, does anyone really know the Gear Daddies. Hell, I lived there for 10 years, seen the Gear Daddies a bunch of times, but I am hard pressed to remember one of their albums.

Actually he "invented" country-rock. The genre of alt.country was still nearly 2 decades off when he died.
LouieB
Damn spelling thing!
I think invited works too.
-
Grievous Angel or G.P. by Gram Parsons, anyone?
He invited this alt-country thing.
The list is silly.
