  1. Off the top of my head:

Counting Crows mention Ben Folds (Not sure what song)

Rufus Wainwright mentions Lenoard Cohen, Jane Curtin and John Lithgow (Want)

Ben Lee mentions Good Charoltte, Sleepy Jackson, and Beyonce (Catch My Disease)

Eef Barzely mentions Ludicris (Ballad of Bitter Honey)

  2. I got to thinking about this the last night, and I wondered if this whole thing is a hoax by the Radio Station. The reason that I think this way is Five-fold: 1) The leaked copy made it the radio station somehow (ok not that odd, but still makes me question things); 2) They played it knowing full well that it wasn't exactly kosher to do so. I mean, hey they are major market station not some college station that wouldn't know any better. I highly doubt DJ's can play whatever they want too. This had to been cleared by station management.; 3) Jack White called from Spain? WTF? From all accounts this phone call was not played over the air (please correct meif I am wrong). 4) There has been no mention of this by The White Stripes, or the management of the band. 6) The publicity the station is getting is huge. (as well as the White stripes, may I mention a joint effort here?)

The only thing we have in the way of knoweldge that this happened is from the DJ and station managment themselves. It smells fishy to me. Until the phone call is proven to me as real, from a statement by the band, managment, or a recording of the event I will put this down as false, and a hoax.

    That is all

  3. Dont even compare YHF to SBS .

    Why not? You have.

SBS is a great album. You obviously don't like it. Hey that is fine. A lot of people here think it is best thing since man invented fire. You are not going to change anyones mind with petitions to go back to 1997. We are not going to change your mind.

My suggestion is go put on Summerteeth, and listen to what you like instead of bashing those that like things that are different from you. Make your petition, cause that will work.

  4. Your post made me think of this Dilbert I saw today

I don't want to be mean or troll here, but for Christsakes, I couldn't get through your message. Paragraphs are great things. Brevity as well.

I mean from what I can tell is that this song speaks to you, which is great. I am glad that this song has helped you with your depression and all that. I am glad that you have found an outlet in this forum to put your thoughts together. Depression is a terrible thing if anything you do helps that depression great.

You have a beautiful child, for one do your best to connect with that.
