Trump's remarks on Black History Month: http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/a-full-transcript-of-donald-trumps-black-history-month-1791871370 Seriously WTF?

It seems like many things that conservatives are passionately for (Muslim Ban, voter suppression) have constantly been proven to be statistically unlikely. Whereas things they are passionately against (climate change) have been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. It is clear the Republican party does not see reason or fact and are willing to push their agenda, regardless of any evidence to the contrary. . And I like to say this just as a reminder every once and awhile. Let us never forget, the leader of the Republican Party, our President, is a Racist, Misogynist, Xenophobe, who has

Remember when Republicans complained about Obama and his imperial presidency? Yeah, that was awesome.

“What happened if we didn’t act and someone was killed?” Spicer asked the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/sean-spicer-san-bernardino_us_588f3d65e4b08a14f7e6f416? I have heard the same argument from gun control advocates.
-
Just remember it is ok to violate the first amendment in order have the perception of feeling safe. But do not even mention any gun safety messures, because that infringes on the 2nd. It has become clear the only part of the constitution Republicans care about is the 2nd amendment.

I watched the first part of the President's joint press conference with the British PM Theresa May. Now, May is not my favorite politician, but listening to Trump speak and then her, it was truly shocking. He not only came off as smug and childish, but profoundly stupid as well. And his pissing match with the President of Mexico is fucking ridiculous. Let's get ready to pay $20 for an avocado.

Holy crap. That is scary shit. So we are pretty much done with the 14th amendment.

The wall is the biggest con. For decades the republican party has been raising increasing their rhetoric on "illegal" immigrants. They are here to take our jobs, become a drain on our tax system, deal drugs and kill us. Purpose a solution that sounds good in theory and on the surface, simple enough for the masses to latch on and also make sure that everyone knows that we won't have to pay for it. Then the switch comes in. The taxpayers will pay for it up front, but we will get Mexico to pay for it with a 20% import tax. Never mind that tax will be likely passed on to the consumers throug

I am sure they will be described that way in defense of the President. We are now in a situation that the administration has de-legitimized the media and the "truth" only comes from the administration and "approved" news sources. I knew a Trump presidency would be rough, but we are only six days in. Fuck

Apparently Steve Bannon and others in the administration are registered to vote in two states. Exactly the type of fraud the President was talking about. Oh the irony. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-voter-fraud-steve-bannon_us_5888d752e4b0441a8f7238e9?ncid=engmodushpmg00000003

OK, good for you

As touching and heartwarming your story is, it is nothing more than anecdote. And I would never accuse or insinuate that you or or friend is lying. But in this past election cycle, look at the times when celebrities spoke out. Look at who was in favor of the message, look who is against the message. Overall the support is drawn by party lines based upon the message. Meryl Streep was applauded by left and ridiculed by the right (not just the President). When Jake Arrieta tweeted on Nov 9th "Time for Hollywood to pony up and head for the border #illhelpyoupack #beatit," I and several left

Probably this No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act , which would deny abortion coverage for women on medicaid, military service women, federal employees, etc. This just after 4 million women around the world marched for among other things abortion rights. So I guess we need a march of 5, 10, 15 million? Jesus. Or it could be the decision to stop the National Parks from using social media (the irony abounds). Props to the Badlands National park for not giving a fuck. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/badlands-climate-tweets_us_5887bb40e4b0441a8f7

It is amazing with the politically charged atmosphere and the huge number of people there was no incidents. It is a testament to the marchers.

I have found that one thing you do as a really good lair is to get caught in small little lies and be obvious about it. This way people will look at you and say, oh he is not a very good lair. Also this gets people talking about the small bad lies rather then the well crafted big lies. Plus it gets attention focused on the lies rather then what is really going on. It is a skill that true masters of deception have. So let's look at what we didn't talk about this weekend: Devos confirmation vote postponed for further ethics reviewTrump signs executive orders (ACA changes, Fed Gov't hiring

Awesome. In another place, got into a discussion about kids at this march and other marches (either right or left) and whether or not it was appropriate to have children at these marches. Do they really know what they are marching for, the significance, etc. Are the parents just forcing their views on to their children and is that ok. For myself, my daughter, who is nine, and my wife were one of the 75,000 marchers in Madison WI. Through out the election cycle we have had an open discussion about the election and the results and kept everything as even keeled as possible. But obvious

I stand by my assessment. If you agree with a celebrity's, people will accept /tolerate their political rantings. If you disagree you will have the desire for that celeb to just make music, movies etc. It is human nature, it is easier to accept what we like. Granted Sid would probably dislike if Tweedy posted about respecting the President, but I doubt he would be compelled to express his displeasure.
-
Well heaven forbid Jeff Tweedy lets you down and uses his platform to express things that he feels deeply about. I forgot about the part in the 1st amendment that said it didn't apply to celebrities and their opinions. You should not expect anything from Jeff Tweedy or any celebrity that is an extremely selfish way to look at things. The only reason the people (I am not necessarily saying you, but it looks that way) get so upset over celebs protesting or expressing their views is when they don't agree with them. If Jeff wrote a letter supporting whatever you believe in, I doubt you woul

But it appears to me that you do, otherwise you wouldn't have said anything.

“I believe that we have to be honest with the American people, but I think sometimes we can disagree with the facts,” Sean Spicer. Yes, Mr. Press Secretary, we can disagree with facts, but when you do, you are wrong and you are lying.
-
Basically Kevin Spacey is the Majority Whip in congress. Gets passed over for Sec of Defense, and then exacts revenge, by orchestrating him become VP and ultimately President. He does this through many deceitful means, including murder.
-
We are honestly getting into some House of Cards shit here. What if all along this is Ted Cruz's plan to get the White House. I mean his dad did help to kill JFK #alternatefacts
-
If that is true the GOP are the biggest bunch of assholes. Intentionally keeping a dangerous individual as president just to get what they want, and then have a scape goat when it fails.
-
Yeah, so that was incredibly stupid op-ed. No one is being excluded. They are not going to bar any pro-lifers from the event. They are just not allowing an organization be listed as a partner of the march, because their stated goals run contrary to the goals of the main event organizers. It would be like the Cubs World Series Parade being partnered with the St. Louis Cardinals. But anyway, my wife and 8 year old daughter are marching in Madison WI. I cannot go, because I have to work. Super excited for them.

There is only 3 hours left for Obama to take our guns. He better hurry up.
