  1. Did it say the interview was before the election? Do y'all remember how contentious it was during the election? Seems like a pretty mild quote, given the time. I kind of doubt Jeffy would say something like that now. Most folk are over that that type of sentiment and just what do we has to be done to get moving again.

  2. I'm sorry you feel that way about the album titles. Because those are all absolutely serious candidates, I'm certain.

don't be sorry, i don't care either way about titles...just the songs and their sequence especially as it is placed on vinyl.

  3. have they been playing it live lately since Colbert? haven't paid attention

I dunno; I should clarify...I meant when I listen to it (it sounds better) and solo Tweedy play was good, too.

  4. Really? I think they're good.

Nova Bowl is the only one that seems doable.

Kiwi in my Pants and Down with the Skirts are too sexual for my Baptist upbringing. I never thought of Wilco having sexual philanderings.

Best Album Yet? kindof pretentious there, Jim

like great as in fun great? or great as in would be in Wilco's top 20 great?

otherwise, i wouldn't consider it, great.

it was fun in the context of Colbert, but unless the song has morphed drastically on record, i wouldn't put it anywhere near Wilco's top 50 songs (maybe not even 100, i'd have to count)

Initially I thought the song was funny at best. Recently though it seems different than the Colbert spin. It sounds much better for some dumb ass reason.

  5. What do you guys think about the title suggestions? Which do you prefer, if any? :D

    Best Album Yet

    Nova Bowl

    Kiwi in My Pants

    Down With the Skirts

Guu; they all sound pretty dumbish. They should just number their albums from here on out, so #7 or whatever they're on now.

  6. Celtics president Danny Ainge confirmed that guard Sam Cassell has been dealt to the Sacramento Kings for a protected second-round pick.

The move allows the Celtics to have one available spot now on their 15-man roster, which could be helpful in a trade or in signing a free agent. The trade deadline is Thursday.

According to a source, the Kings are expected to waive Cassell and a team needing a veteran point guard may claim him off waivers.

Cassell, 39, has yet to play this season. He averaged 7.6 points and 2.1 assists for Boston last season after signing as a free agent March 4 following his buyout from the Clippers.

Probably ok for Boston since Rondo learn how to shoot in the offseason. I used to yell at Rondo through the TV, now he is a pretty damn good guard.

  7. Wake Forest didn't last long at #1. Way to go Va Tech. Duke will probably be #1 next. That makes me sick as always.

I'd rather die than see Duke #1. I reveled in Coach K's teary eyes when NC turned it on in the 2nd half.

Keep your eyes out for NDame.

  8. 6. Harmonies - Jay has a strange voice that is really not suited for solo placement, but his scratchy baritone matched with Tweedy's lead and Stirratt's high harmonies is simply awesome. Creepy sometimes, yes, but fantastico just the same. *Example: "Casino Queen" live. His deep vocals MADE that song.

you sound like a frog and you look like one too

  9. I found this review of the show. I was on a computer at a coffee shop and can't remember the link though:

"Although Tweedy has long struggled with depression, anxiety, and self medication, he oft appeared to be in good spirits during a recent show in Champaign, IL. Fans continue to monitor Tweedy and are poised to spring into action at any sign of an oncoming episode of depression. Consider them the shepard's of the Wilco flock, if you will. Rest assured there will be various audio captures of this momentous performance. It was a one-of-a-kind evening. Never before has Jeff played this exact set list. It's almost like he plays different songs every night with exact precision to appease his following."

  10. I cannot help myself, but that black dress with the red business is not at all a flattering choice for Mrs. Obama, and why was Joe Biden's wife (i don't even know her name!) wearing one of Cindy McCain's yellow suits?

I agree! But, I feel the love and wish her all the red devil belly luck (looks like she has a red devil prego-belly!)....this is Party @ the Moontower locked out of VC. Why? MY user name has been stolen..or I'm on 24/hour trouble?HELP ME gogo!

    I love U guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
