  1. Yes they should call it quits right now!

They are speading the word of SATAN!

If you listen to rock and roll, you are going to hell!

Grab your bibles and guns and await the second coming !

    Even Amy Grant loves satan!

    She is going to hell!

This post is the biggest chunk of shit ever, and I'm reminded why I stopped coming to this site in the first place.

If you feel the same way about Wilco, you should do the same. Go away, and don't come back.

    Satan Lover

Dude, lay off the bratwurst, it's messin' witch yo mind.

  2. trust me, forums following "dead" bands still survive. how do you think I heard about Tweedy/Wilco in the first place?

The 'dead' thing will last forever. Wilco has what 0.063 the fan base of the dead? Will 50 fervent VCers keep the board going if the Wilco isn't there? We need to start planning for this since Wilco doesn't know how to make albums anymore. :punch

p.s. first time I've ever used those stoopid smiley things and I fear the learning curve.

  3. I wonder how many threads are infected w/ 'SBS is subpar, blah, blah'? Not my opinion. To me each album has its time and place and sometimes I listen to one more than the othter so I quit ranking them.

And, most importantly, if Wilco quit, how long would VC last? 1 year, 2? Think of it. What would you all with 5,000+ posts do to fill the void? Facebook? Another band? Perhaps we all need to think about contingency plans for a VC-less world?

  4. Memphis folks are treating this like a funeral. It's hilarious.

I read a comment on the Commercial that went a little something like this, "never trusted a greasy haired yankee that promises you the world."

That GQ article on Worldwide Wes made me feel dirty. Sounds like a slick character.

  5. No kidding. Tom Izzo is a good choice. Travis Ford too. Ford wouldn't cost as much either. When was the last time Kentucky had a decent team anyway? They act like they are being tortured by the basketball gods and the only way to overcome it is too pay a shit ton of $. I guess it is a different culture. I am just used to MU getting by and having a few glimpses of hope.

    Rumor has been snuffed.

UVA hired Wash St's Tony Bennett.

Oh well, rather keep Capel in the Big 12.

  6. Rumor: Jamie Dixon to Arizona. Jaff Capel possibly to Virginia, Sean Miller to Pitt.

Capel vs. Coach K. That would bring a little interest to the ACC. snoring at the moment.

Dixon looks like one of the bad guys on The Goonies.

  7. Apparently, in the only good/semi-decent bracket I picked, I now have two of my Final Four completely axed.

I still have them all woo hoo; Uconn, Louisville, Pitt, NC...we'll see what happens this weekend.

  8. Excellent win for Mizzou.

The only exciting game all night, except for the last minute of the Pitt game. The MU - Uconn matchup will be a good one.

I should not have had that much faith in Duke.

Second that. I picked them because I hate them. They got stomped.

Mike Anderson will come back to arkansas some day.

Hope they have $$$. Maybe the Walton fund will help.

  9. Love him.

All I know is the Greatest Hits, and dwightyoakamacoustic.net, so I need to dig deeper. But those two collections are pretty great.

His early stuff is pretty damn good. Guitars, Cadillacs, etc. & Hillbilly Deluxe. After that it was hit or miss, but still good.

What about Hank III? He ain't new cuntry.

  10. That one dude played 67 minutes last night, huh? Damn. Plus he handles the ball almost every time. Double damn. That there's an athlete.

Johnnie Flynn, a baller. The skinny white dude was draining some deep ass 3's in the clutch. Awesome game. There were walk ons playing at the end of the game. It was a pleasure to watch.

  11. The first three songs rule, then it mellows, then picks up again. I love this album. I wonder if it has endurance like the other Wilco albums. I especially like the 6th song. wow.
