  1. Section 2-row E, looks like way over on the Pat side, if anyone on Nels side wants to switch, PM me. So happy. I can rest now.
  2. As of 8 AM, still not on Music Today.
  3. Me too, but it concerns me that the show isn't listed on the MusicToday site. According to the Tanglewood site, they are on general sale on Wednesday. I wonder if subscription owners get first dibs too? Unfortunately, my friends are too lowbrow to belong to Tanglewood.
  4. yes, it looks like Tanglewood is it. The only acts scheduled for the Pines so far is Melissa Etheridge and Ani DiFranco. I always said I would see anyone at the Pines even if I didn't like them. But I'm skipping both of those.
  5. So, WilcoWorld is saying presale starts August 21 and since the concert is August 12, this seems pretty unlikely. I was assuming that is was a typo and meant April 21 (TOMORROW!). I checked MusicToday and it doesn't even have it listed. Any intell? Anyone?
  6. http://www.allmanbrothersband.com/ this is ruining my husband's month.
  7. Beck's scientology and no ins/outs be damned! I'm going. My awesome husband bought tix last night! I've been to SF only once. Any ideas for a cheap place to stay near the park? It doesn't look like there are any hotels within walking distance. I've found some B and B's, but will I mind walking around the park at night? Excellent restaraunts I can't miss?
  8. This is a great way to spend the morning. I used to be a high school teacher and my students would have loved this. Good on you!
  9. No, Misunderstood was the first. Are we the only ones here? I can only listen for another hour-got to take the shorter one to preschool.
  10. I've got it, anyone else? One of the only times being a Wilco fan on the East Coast has been an asset! Sounds great! Misunderstood!
  11. I did see him before that, and he didn't suck! In fact he was pretty amazing. It was just after Sexx Laws came out and he was really really good. And I believe he was on a sabbatical from the Scientology. I can't say for sure, but I believe that to be the case. I will do some follow up and report back. If I decide that it really matters, which it probably does not.
  12. It pains me to say this, but the last time I saw Beck (fall 2004? 2005?), he kind of sucked. I blame the scientology.
  13. Do it!!!!!!!! I lived in Europe for 4 years and would do it again in a second. Especially with those perks!
  14. There's only 3 songs up, but it is on itunes' NPR:Live Concerts from All Songs Considered. http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_det...siteId=15842121
  15. We walked out of the church with "I Got You," James Brown, played by a friend on piano. Kind of fun. The best wedding I ever went to had "Ring Of Fire" for their first dance, It was awesome!
  16. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the infant carrier is going to kill your back anyway. We bought the passat wagon (2001) just before our first was born and it has been the perfect car. Room for the dog and all the kids' junk, leather seats so cleaning up puke and spilled juice boxes is not too hard, great gas mileage. I've got a ton of miles on it and it still runs great, glad that I'm feeling virtuous because we haven't had to clog the dumps with a throwaway piece of crap. It's a stick so the mileage is even better and it drives really stiff. Not to mention all of the top notc
  17. I drive a 2001 Passat wagon. I love it so much, especially the fact that it is paid for. It's never had anything go wrong, still drives great, gets good mileage. I will buy another if it is ever time to buy a new car.
  18. I've been reading this ongoing series in the NYTimes about migraines. They've been describing and showing a lot of visual arts done by migraine sufferers, but this is the first they've done on music. I've been wanting to suggest in the comments section that people listen to Jeff Tweedy's music to experience some aural creativity brought on by migraines. Great article today, so glad they read my mind.
  19. AWESOME! I got it all except for the address book. Confusion. I'll keep thinking about it. .. Also, I made the most happy hat. I'll get a picture up on ravelry
  20. hey there, I loved my grandparents like hell, they died about 6 and 3 years ago. I could only give you guesses on their birthdays and death dates. I had to be reminded of their birthdays even when they were alive! That said, I think about them everyday, they were a HUGE presence in my live. My grandmother and I even had a weird psychic thing with calling each other. EVERY time I called her, she would say that her hand was on the phone to call me. One of the things I am most thankful for in the world is that I had the gift of an adult relationship with both of them, something few peo
  21. Great time. It was my first seated venue and it was pretty much what I expected. Good setlist for the room. It sounded great, and Jeff commented on that halfway through. The crowd was a little mellow at the beginning, lots of sitting down, standing up, sitting down, etc. It didn't seem to matter so much with the band, professionals all the way through. They rocked at the end. I would love to get a recording. VERY NICE crowd where I was. Happy to meet YOU, WW! I went ahead and bought the poster, so nice. Pat being MIA was hilarious. I video'd the whole thing. Between the line
