that's my guess... if they were made by someone in the McCain/RNC camp, that would seem to indicate that the spelling errors were missed by at least 2 people (not to mention anyone who actually read them closely at the RNC)

so you're saying he should pander to the right a bit more to attract a bit more balanced audience? not saying i disagree with you (although like any live audience TV show, they have people who pump up the crowd before taping and during even sometimes), just don't think he's ever had that many right wing fans... irony and humor is often lost on them it seems when it comes to politics. i can't help but laugh about 90% of politics because it's mostly all bullshit at the end of the day.

Fleet Foxes, sorry for the confusion

i've seen 'em 3x first time was good, second one opening for 'Two Gallants' was amazing, and third was this spring w/ Fleet Foxes opening, and they blew them out of the water (maybe not the most fair judgment however)

which i think is what's so great about this year's election... this year MOST people are voting for someone they like and want as president, vs. voting against McCain. whereas a good chunk of hard core conservatives (granted some have came on board more because of the Palin pick) are voting against Obama, not necessarily for McCain.

the issue with Universal Healthcare is moreso not about the $$, but to convince people how well it works in other countries (not all are perfect, but there are many countries we could use to help model ours after). if that happens, it would be much easier to "find" the money to make it work... but the issue is, the insurance companies and privatized hospitals realize how much money they stand to lose, which is why they have more lobbyists than the oil industry

same easily my favorite of theirs yet and one of the year's best albums, no doubt in my mind...

One Wing does make a good point... consistency with regards to how to handle insurance/bills/coverage/care, etc. is key, no matter if it's privatized or government funded. don't fall into the traps of the those who claim that gov't funded healthcare automatically means gov't RUN healthcare, there *IS* a major difference

RE: the VA system... considering my wife works at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis (one of only four level one poly-trauma centers), i can tell you that while the system of getting admitted into the VA system and their hospitals is flawed and needs work, the quality of care they do administer is second to none so don't let the faults of the VA system's bureaucracy taint your view of the care that VA Hospitals give
