that's what the initial copies of the self-release looked like/came with (minus the Thank You card and high school photo, it's my friends photo, i don't have a photo of mine handy )

Sun Kil Moon - April The Tallest Man on Earth - Shallow Grave Sigur R

i think it's pretty damn good so far... certainly a return to form a bit after the last one
-
said it better than I could
-
no it's not the fact that you have differing opinions than me, plenty of folks on here do and i have no issues with them. it's the fact that you're quite often condescending about it (see other threads if you don't believe me/us).

sounds absolutely NOTHING like Damien Rice honestly...
-
jesus... that one huge explosion makes it look like a sunrise/daytime... unreal
-
hey now... that was BEFORE this affair
-
ditto.

it's not the adultery that really bums me out necessarily, moreso that he entered the race with him AND Elizabeth (and likely quite a few others) knowing FULL well about it. so he and his campaign and family kept silent about it for 2+ years... did they REALLY truly think nobody would find out eventually?
-
exactly... divorce is never pretty, but adultery is way worse
-
yeah... always seemed way too squeaky clean to be true, even in '04
-
fair enough... i do agree it has a lot more to offer, it's just i couldn't really imagine loving the entire album and finding Skinny Love not all that great myself.
-
definitely... it's a solid 3 star (out of 5) record, maybe even 3.5 as for Nada Surf's new one, it's grown on me, and i like it more than the last one, but it's still not even close to their best stuff.
-
f'n awesome... prolly my fave record this year (if not, definitely top 3) The Gardener is my fave song of the summer, that's for sure

great show last night in Mpls! -
funny, that's what i think of every time i see one of your posts to each his/her own i guess, but whenever i gave the album to someone last fall, that was always the first track that people picked up on *shrug* that chorus is just so infectious. it also gets the loudest cheers of any song on the album live.

Bon Iver only date so far is in NYC @ Town Hall on December 10th... really hoping for a midwest date tour of the year?
-
agreed. fantastic record that is actually more consistent than Apologies, just not the 2-3 highs as you say.
-
if Skinny Love doesn't do much for ya, prolly should just steer clear of the record... that was by far my favorite song of 2007, hands down but who knows, the album has a good amount of styles/sounds, so might dig on other stuff more i guess.

while Jim has a 'better' voice, i prefer Matt's more timeless voice over Jim's power
-

i'm hearing buzz about an upcoming EP of new/unreleased songs... i'll try and get more out of Justin next weekend when i see him
-
it was my #1 album of 2007, so not quite fair for me to list it again this year, but if i did it'd prolly be the #1 so far this year too
