  1. nice, they musta been able to at least fulfill their indie stores orders then. i'd imagine they'll get it out to the box stores then next week, cool i should go pick up the vinyl at the Fetus tonight
  2. actually it was pushed back to next Tuesday the vinyl should be in-stores today tho and yeah, it's fabulous. if not his best, def the closest after Transfiguration
  3. Midnight will always be a fave song of mine
  4. uhm, that's actually from "Insane In The Brain" on Black Sunday
  5. yeah it's a Muddy Waters cover, but i like it a lot. not sure how it sounds that diff from a few tracks on Love & Theft really
  6. i don't dislike a single song on the record myself... not saying every track is a knockout, but yeah...
  7. fuck how good is Nettie Moore??? i know what you're saying Hank, but i'm saying wait until you hear the real deal to judge the production fully. mp3s ruin a lot, even good quality rips
  8. i tried to pick just one of my faves from each artist, and that one is my fave of theirs, sorry i kinda wish i smoked pot back when that record came out now... first one is great tho, and the 3rd was underrated too imo
  9. no way i could narrow it down to 10 without leaving out some faves, also the top 5 or so aren't really in any specific order, too hard to: 20. Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle 19. Cypress Hill - Black Sunday 18. 2Pac - Me Against the World 17. Common-Like Water For Chocolate 16. Outkast - Aquemini 15. The Roots - Do You Want More?!!? 14. Black On Both Sides - Mos Def 13. Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star 12. Jurassic 5 - Quality Control 11. 3ft High and Rising - De La Soul 10. Paul's Boutique - Beastie Boys 9. Wu Tang Clan - Enter the 36 Chambers 8. The Predator - Ice Cube 7.
  10. fwiw, don't judge the production from this poor rip, because it's got a ton of hiss on it, and it's a bit muddy sounding, the actual thing will sound looooads better
  11. that Docu is great, saw it last Wed shows a ton of footage from their first show back here in Mpls, backstage, rehearsal, walking around Mpls, etc. the footage of Kim & Frank arriving to the club in a white caddy... my friend and i saw them pull up and were totally in the alley listening to them rehearse then
  12. it is great, don't think too many decemberists fan dispute that, just that the 2 before it (and now this new one) are even better
  13. there's a poor sounding 128kbps rip, make sure to stay away from that
  14. Dancin' On The Lip of a Volcano w/ Michael Stipe is one of my fave songs this summer i think
  15. can't send it ATM, i'd imagine it will leak more widely later today/tomorrow 2nd track drug on a bit at 7:36 for a loung-y number, but track 3 is kickin' ass right now
  16. hehe, i saw that promo in my stack a week or two ago i recall seeing them open for Brendan Benson a couple years ago and liked 'em, how is it?
  17. i like it... they are hard to digest at times, but insanely hard to put down other times, this one is no different in that aspect.
  18. shit dude, you should have asked me NP: Akron/Family - Meek Warrior
  19. it's waaaaaay better than Picaresque, which you are right, was their weakest record to date (still had some killer songs though)
