yay!!! great local Minneapolis/Eau-Claire band that signed to Jagjaguwar today. the album is getting a proper physical release on May 25th. great dudes too
-
i do like Shonna's tunes quite a bit (although moreso on the last vs. this new one), but they sound SO so different that it's almost like a completely different band... vs. say between Cooley/Hood/Isbell. and i don't always mean just male vs. female vocals, the songs themselves are arranged quite a bit different.

New Black Keys album called 'Brothers' is out May 18th too... May 2010 = best week for new albums EVER?
-
can't stand the lyrics on Bob really... plus NOFX's 'Bob' is a way better song about Bob...
-
it's digital release is a week from Tue tho, so i'd expect it to pop up any day now
-
Lisa's Birthday, Bob, You and Your Crystal Meth for certain... after that not sure, i'd have to revisit it again
-
LCD Soundsystem's new one is coming out in May too... but if they're smart they'll wait until the 18th or 25th Arcade Fire's won't be out in May... i'd guess late July/early August honestly...
-
well, i've had it for a while myself too, but was just curious, cuz it obviously wasn't a very widespread leak then (wasn't on Demonoid or What.CD, 2 of the biggest trackers). It's possible it was a transcode tho, as what.CD deletes those. doesn't really matter, i was just curious
-
Creations Dark was great, but in need of an editor badly. they should have trimmed at least 3, if not 5 songs from the album.
-
curious where you got it that it actually "leaked" a few weeks ago... i got a promo of it a few weeks ago, but didn't see it "leaked" anywhere until late last night... anywho, it's better than the last 2 by far
-
seriously... can't. get. enough.
-
i'd say $75-125 depending on market & seat location. Tom used to be one of the cheapest from his era, but his tickets have creeped up lately
-
i'm a HUGE huge longtime Low fan and it's probably my 3rd or 4th favorite album Alan has put out
-
right, i got that press release too and quickly laughed it off as someone being really bad at reading Wikipedia as much as i like the Truckers, i would love to see Joe Cocker live once
-
Highway Companion was released in 2006... i realize that was billed as a Tom Petty solo record, but still
-

Broken Social Scene & Band of Horses on May 4th as well
-
liking this record way more than the latest Hot Chip (which is pretty good in and of itself), an improvement upon their already enjoyable 2nd album.
-
debut full length by Free Energy, former members of the Minneapolis band Hockey Night now based in Philly you can stream their previous EP on MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/freeenergymusic
-
Doubt there will be a more fun guitar pop/rock album released in 2010 honestly.
-
new song 'Your Hands (Together)' http://www.matadorrecords.com/matablog/201...ther-right-now/ it's a pretty nice rockin' affair with a great Neko/Carl dual vocals.

curious what browser you guys are using? have no issues on the latest Chrome/Firefox/Safari for the Mac

yeah, i didn't love them as much either, but i'm hoping that partially stems from knowing all the words and such to the album songs. i won't worry too much until they're recorded glad you loved it!
