that "possible homicide" link was already taken off that Memphis TV station site yesterday evening, false alarm.

agreed. those are def his best. i do love Baby off this latest one tho, but overall i wasn't huge on it compared to his previous records.
-
WAY way better than Hombre Lobo and one of his better records i think

cool story from the Arcade Fire forum I run about Jay bringing up a fan to play his Flying V at a show in Sao Paulo last summer: http://forums.arcadefire.net/viewtopic.php...990&start=0

i know he had his asshole moments in on stage in the past year or so, which consider how many rock stars (big and small) have in the past, seemed kinda insignificant in the grand scheme. i only saw him one time in 2008 and had a blast at his show. he just made really great pop punk and seemed to have the whole "don't give a fuck" attitude that can be annoying to some, but is often missing in rock music these days.

hmm... Besnard Lakes are hard to pin down. epic... sprawling... haunting... but still insanely melodic indie rock? mostly female vocals. here's the first single 'Albatross'
-
Guitar Romantic is one of the best records of the 00's by far
-
seriously... THIS. FUCKING. ALBUM. is kinda blowing my mind... like a LOT
-
The Besnard Lakes - The Besnard Lakes Are The Roaring Night i loved their last record 'Are The Dark Horse' from 2007, but so far this is something else altogether... damn. Chicago Train nearly has me in tears watch out Beach House

Girls Can Tell and/or Kill The Moonlight

it is :/ i thought it was kinda poor too, but another friend really digs it *shrug*. they've always had kinda crappy artwork minus 'We All Belong' tho

DR. DOG GEAR UP FOR ANTI- RECORDS DEBUT, SHAME, SHAME SET FOR AN APRIL 6TH RELEASE BAND CONFIRMS 10-WEEK NATIONAL HEADLINING TOUR Dr. Dog is very excited to announce the April 6th release of their Anti- Records debut, Shame, Shame. As a band that has traditionally built their spirited albums layer by layer in the undisturbed seclusion of their Philadelphia home studio, Dr. Dog realized that they would need to face the challenge of working in a professional studio and enlist the help of an outside producer (Rob Schnapf) if they were to continue their album-by-album evolutionary growth. so far my fave records from this year are Beach House (way way out front), Retribution Gospel Choir, Title Tracks, and Eels. i like Transference a lot, but i don't love the entire record yet like i do those other 4.
