  1. you can switch to the regular one on your iphone tho right? if so just use that for now, i've not even had a chance to look at the mobile theme yet
  2. let me see if there's maybe not a local (cookie based) vs. server based setting, i know there used to be. also, i just changed the relative date/post time type... what do people think? i kind of like it
  3. i'd imagine a lot of these smaller bugs will be fixed by the final release, which should be in the next 2 months. there will likely be 1-2 more Release Candidates in the interim.
  4. i think i know why that is... because i used to archive out old posts, but never reset the post counts... i'm guessing if i reset them they'd sync up... what's peoples thoughts on doing it?
  5. Marc Perlman from the Jayhawks often tends bar there still (least as of last summer he did, i haven't been in a while)
  6. i've seen them live twice actually... first time was opening for TVOTR. wasn't too too big on that set, but saw them headline a few months after that and that def piqued my interest level, even tho i still didn't LOVE Yellow House. Chris Bear is a sick drummer.
  7. lol, no clue. i will likely disable that feature honestly. surprised it was enabled by default actually.
  8. 8.5 and Best New Music from Pfork http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/13052-wolfgang-amadeus-phoenix/
  9. try and clear your cookies first and see, but as for the last unread post, it's working for me (you're clicking on the Time of the post on the right side of the index of forums?)
  10. currently rebuilding all the caches in hope of fixing the weird quote/bbcode displaying now
  11. that 256kbps one was a trasncode as well and still didn't sound very good. the real thing sounds 100x better
  12. sorry guys... was on a house call this evening when the MySQL server stopped serving requests. i think i fixed that issue temporarily at least
  13. that's cool, at least you gave them a fair shot... although i'd say this album really started to open up for me around the 10th listen or so. if you enjoyed it even remotely, might be worth giving a few more listens, otherwise that's cool, it's most definitely not for everyone i can understand that (hell i was one of you until this record). do you enjoy 'Two Weeks' at least? have found that even people who hate the band even dig that song often. oh, btw, for those who want to buy it on the cheap or check it out cheaply and legally, it's the Amazon mp3 deal of the day today and is only $3
  14. hmm... not all that surprising honestly. IE6 was one of the worst browsers in terms of standards compliance. it's also 2 versions behind the current now (IE8), so most web designers have moved past trying to bandage sites/software to work with something that fails to comply to W3 standards
  15. also, here's a mashup of Jay-Z's 'Public Service Announcement' and Two Weeks my friend Steve put together, it's pretty awesome imo http://mcfierce.tumblr.com/post/112821025/mashup-of-grizzly-bears-two-weeks-with-jay-zs
  16. most likely can be added back easily, but i dug it as well
  17. be glad you didn't seek out the leak, cuz the early leak was TERRIBLE quality. i took one listen to the first 2 songs and decided to wait for a good leak (which only happened like a week or so ago) and i'm so glad i did. i was pretty so-so on this band with Yellow House... i found their stuff pretty, but often dull and didn't agree with much of the hype from friends... that said, i'm totally smitten with this record and it's def in my top 3-5 on the year as well. the only song i don't love yet is Dory. can't wait to see them in a week and a half.
  18. the smileys will be fixed for sure, don't worry there as for the layout/colors, again, this is just the standard 3.0 theme, i plan on tweaking this one like we have in the past, so i'll take all of your suggestions/complaints/gripes in mind when i start to work on a custom theme/layout/color scheme. more later this evening, been in my annual review all afternoon (went well thankfully *phew*).
  19. wow that took all of 2 minutes to form that opinion. read my post again. p.s. it's easy to get rid of the sidebar on the mainpage if you don't like it
  20. Invision has released a Release Candidate version (ie: nearly final code) of their IPB 3.0 forum software that fixes the PM spamming issue. Now obviously things look and work a bit different than before (and it's new to me as well), but having used it in beta for the last 3-4 months, I think it's a very superior version in many ways. so give it some time, if you hate it now, wait until you drive it (what movie is that from??) There will be certain things that need to be tweaked and changed, so bear with me on that. If you notice any major bugs or errors, please feel free to send me a PM
  21. figured this was coming... Billy Bragg comments on Jay's passing: http://www.billybragg.co.uk/news/news_story.php?id=520
  22. oh totally... AM was a fine album when it came out in '94, no question, but Trace kicked it's ass around the block 20x. it wasn't until Being There did I really take notice of Wilco and find them to be up there with Uncle Tupelo. and of course everything that came after BT...
  23. ditto... while i've enjoyed their post-YHF output plenty, it's no question for me that my favorite period of Wilco was Being There through YHF, and it's no question how big of role he played during that time. he was def the McCartney to Jeff's 'Lennon', no question
  24. yup... i found this to be true most often than not as well. the one time i met him after a solo show in '02 or '03, he was totally nice, down to earth, and just 100% genuine. at that point he had definitely seemed to take the whole thing in stride... i realize things may have changed since that time, but still.
