  1. Kim Bauer is great. Like in season 2, when she's lost in the woods and runs into the creepy Kevil Dillon character. One of the first things she decides to do, upon going back to the creepy dude's cabin, is to take a shower. Which was brilliant. That was also the season, I believe, in which Jack protected himself from a nuclear explosion in the nearby desert by hiding behind a big rock.
  2. That's not what I would have expected. In my fan fiction version, I'm going to make The Skulls/Subhumans/DOA your first show. I can't believe I'm your e-friend.
  3. I think the first 45 I owned was "Disco Duck". First album I purchased all by myself was REO Speedwagon's Hi Infidelity, in 4th or 5th grade. First real show was Dio/Yngwie Malmsteen. I saw the Beach Boys on the Mall in the DC a couple years before that, but it was with my parents. I did drink a full beer though, and inhaled a lot of second-hand pot smoke, so maybe that should count afterall.
  4. I'm not sure what this is supposed to prove. Of course he thinks the current band is the definitive version...it would be pretty sad if Tweedy was playing with these guys and pining away for Bennett and Coomer.
  5. I'd just like to state again that Season 3 is pretty damn great so far.
  6. I still think Wilco should headline at least once at Wolf Trap.
  7. I still think Wilco should play at least once at Wolf Trap.
  8. Lucero - Alley Katz, Richmond VA...November 15, 2006
  9. I actually like that song (although the fact that Joe King was like 35 when he wrote it is kinda disturbing). P.S. I've always liked "A Kid Who Tells on Another Kid is a Dead Kid" by Nation of Ulysses
  10. That was a great moment. I wish Frank was still managing...
  11. I enjoyed a crisp, cold 22 oz. Legend Golden Ale with dinner last night. It was pretty damn great. And it was served in a crisp, cold, Drag the River pint glass... That picture actually shows the cool DTR glass with a Legend Lager, but whatever.
  12. Last night I got 3 great ribeye steaks from Giant for about $15, and we had them along with baked redskin potato wedges. The wife and kids had vegetables too...I did not. I also enjoyed a Legend Golden Ale, but I think any further information on that should go in the drinking thread.
  13. I have no problem with a FAQ either, since I plan to never read it and only be vaguely aware of its existence.
  14. I don't know what the discussion would be like. Maybe someone who has demos that no one thought existed might make their first post after seeing the 59th thread on the topic. Or maybe not. I guess I don't see what the big deal is about someone asking a question on a message board. If the question bothers you, don't answer it and ignore the thread.
  15. I don't see the harm in discussing a topic more than once on a forum designed for discussion. If I'm not interested (like the multiple threads about Bright Eyes, or questions about what to do in Chicago), I don't read them. Unless I'm really bored.
  16. The greatest trick David Fricke ever pulled was making the world discuss his teeth on the internet.
  17. David Fricke is really an anagram. Rearrange the letters and you get "Prince of Darkness, Destroyer of Souls".
