I think that I may have mentioned Elliott Easton way back early on in the thread. But yeah, he kills me, too.

In one of my old punk bands, the lead guitar player always called Prince one of the biggest influences on his playing. And, I could hear it. So, yeah, I've known a couple guitar players who said so. But, I guess that Prince has always been known more for his hits than his guitar playing (even, for the most part, by other guitar players), so I can see your point. But I definitely see him as one of the greats. And, Eddie Hazel, too.
