I picked up some of this last night, but have yet to try it: Just seemed like something that the wife and I would enjoy. (We both love a nice stout with a good piece of chocolate.) You had it? How be it?

The new Republican governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker is currently proposing legislation that would essentially destroy state workers' unions (exempt are police & firefighters, go figure...). Yesterday, more than 10,000 protesters gathered at the capitol, including firefighters who are protesting in solidarity. Today, the Madison public school district is closed because over 40% of the teachers called in sick, in protest. The governor's readied the National Guard, just in case. LINK

I try to keep it relatively inexpensive, but I still like to sound good. For my acoustic I find that these give me a nice, balanced tone for a pretty good price: (I use 12's.) As to my electric, I go with a classic: Ernie Ball 10's: Is there anything that I NEED to try? Same price? Why would I need to/want to spend more? What do you use?

I'm assuming that has nothing to do with old Emitt Rhodes stuff, huh?

Just trying to heed the rules of "no links", but since you asked it's ChicagoMixtape dot com. How's that?

Glad that I could add some levity to your day. You just brought a smile to my face, as well.

First listen, and a couple of songs in, both of them are really cool. I know that it comes off like I am street teaming, but I am sincere. I am not paid for talking about this site in any way, shape or form. Just genuinely think that it seems like a cool idea. And, so far, so good.

Awesome! You are not off-base. I will check it out and see what's included (because I already have several albums.) Thanks for the heads up!

When you sign up at this sight, you get a new compilation of local music to download each week. I signed up. Seems kinda cool. Hope that it is.
