One day home from vacation and now my 10-year-old and his best friend are on their way to our suburban downtown to busk. He's playing guitar and his buddy is playing a small drum kit. I was coming here to post about The Ramones. They were one of my kids' favorite bands when they were around 4 and 5. It really is perfect music for kids that age: great melodies, high energy, simple structures. Just great rock 'n roll, really. Although, I don't think that your wife would appreciate you teaching your kid songs like "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue", "I Wanna Be Sedated", or "Beat On the Brat". So... be careful!
