  1. Listening to OutSpaced now, and I CANNOT get to that "Track 0". Is it because I am listening on iTunes on my computer? Will that prevent me from getting to it? Do I need to put the fucker into a regular home CD player?
  2. Oh, and now I am listening to Roxy Swain - Live at WLUW (last Friday) streaming here: http://razoranddie.site11.com/audio/
  3. Chamber Strings - Gospel Morning Massive Attack - Heligoland O Brother, Where Art Thou? (OST) Of Montreal - The Gay Parade
  4. Inspired by this happening (from my Now Playing for today): What are your all-time favorite "HIDDEN" tracks? Those songs not listed on the album sleeve, or tacked on to the end of a CD, after an annoyingly long silence.../ Mine: "Train In Vain" - The Clash "Nothing Compares 2U" - Falstaff and I know there are a few more, too... that's why I'm looking to you. Somebody should do a total mixtape of JUST hidden tracks. And, if I may be so bold... "The Yummy Song" - Hop On Pop (sorry, I just like this one)
  5. Just arrived: There is a hidden track at the end that is one of my favorite things this band has ever done: a live version of "Nothing Compares 2U" I remember watching them do this one at Phyllis', with an accordian and loving it! I just wish that I could edit my mp3 rip to separate this fucker from the track as a whole. Nonetheless, this is one of my favorite hidden tracks, ever. YES!!!
  6. I think that all the musicians on this board tend to shamelessly self promote. Especially right when we finish a record. I think that we all just want to be heard.
  7. Howdy! I'm a 39 year old musician from the Chicago area, who saw Wilco's first-ever Chicago show (maybe their first-ever show, period?) -- at the Lounge Ax in 1994 or 1995. Also saw Uncle Tupelo before they even released No Depression. So yeah, I've been a fan for a while, too. Oh, and I also take some occasional heat for street teaming my own band. So, I guess that makes me something of a hypocrite. Sorry about that. Anyway, welcome to the board. Looking forward to hearing more from you. And... where in Chicago are you from?
  8. I absolutely adore this stuff. First had it when on my honeymoon in Italy, and have pretty much had it in my house for the occasional quaff ever since. I think of this now, because I just picked up a bottle of homemade cream limoncello as a gift for some friends and it was beyond amazing. Dangerous, even, as it went down so sweet and smooth. Any other fans?
  9. Ashtray Boy - Honeymoon Suite Café Tacuba - Un Viaje The Move - The Best of The Move The Who - A Quick One
  10. "The only time that I say 'no" is when they ask me if I've had enough..." -Peter Laughner - "In the Bar"
  11. The Temptations - I Wish It Would Rain (although maybe it isn;'t quite the sentiment you want) Supertramp - It's Raining Again
  12. Pavement - Slanted and Enchanged (Luxe & Redux) Bonnie Prince Billy - Beware Peter Laughner - Take the Guitar Player For a Ride
  13. And, I'm posting this post, so that I can post the next video in the next post. So, will this work? Here is another video from the same show as above: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvHcRo9pCEY
  14. Just watched a piece of this last night (and posted about it in the Someone Else's Song forum): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvHcRo9pCEY But, I wanted to mention it here, too. I really dug these guys.
  15. I was flipping channels last night and came across the last half of the last song that these guys were playing on the Spanish-language PBS show Sessiones. It froze me mid-flip. And the wife and I both agreed that this was a band that needed further looking into. Just sounded great lying in bed drifting off to sleep last night. Here is a clip of them on that show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXc7DxMDtEc Anyone here familiar with them? Like them? Hate them?
  16. You Am I - Hi-Fi Way REM - Dead Letter Office Derek & The Dominoes - Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs (I picked all of these up at Half-Price Books just yesterday. I think it was maybe $10 total for the trio.)
