Any fans out here? I haven't seen it since it was in theaters, and I remember loving it then. Just a whole lot of campy fun. And, Ann Magnuson's presence in anything is an instant bonus. Thinking that I may have to pick up the DVD sometime soon. Just wanted confirmation from some folks here who have seen it (more) recently, that it was as fun as I remember it.

I met Steve at a NAMM show when I was 16 and relatively new to the guitar. He was just walking down the aisle, and the exchange went something like this: "Steve Morse?" "Yes? "Wow. I'm a really big fan. (smiling) "Hey! Thanks! You play?" "Yeah, but I'm not very good." "No?" "Not as good as I want to be." "Do you practice with a metronome?" "No." "Well, that is the number one piece of advice that I can give to you, is to practice with a metronome. You have anywhere to be now?" "No." Come on; I'm going to the Ernie Ball booth. You wanna take a little walk with me? We'll talk about guitar a bit

do you have a go-to song or riff that you play?
PopTodd replied to MattZ's topic in Solid State Technology
There's this fingerpicked jazz thing that I wrote, like, 15 years ago, that I can finally play the way it's supposed to be played. I've been tending to fall into that one recently. I need to write some (decent) lyrics for it so that I can record it sometime soon. -
Anyone have it? Opinions?

Thanks. No official date, yet. Real-life chaos has intruded upon work on the album. Should be done by the end of the summer, though.

It's kinda nice. http://niteshiftmusic.blogspot.com/ And, once again, thanks for your patience. But this one is for you to keep. PS - ADJUST YOUR VOLUME NOW!!! (There is an auto-play player on that page, and it's LOUD).

Thanks for the new link. Giving it a first listen now and I'm really enjoying this! Are you the singer? Whoever is reminds me a little of Eef Barzalay. And that is not a bad thing. Mind if I send along your MySpace link to folks at another board that I frequent? I think there may be some folks there who dig it. Oh, and if you do not have a page here yet: http://iacmusic.com Give it a shot. It can be some pretty good exposure.

A first listen to this, before getting to anything else:

I just listened to the recording of the kids rehearsing the songs and, something about the sound of a chorus of kids doing them was really damn moving. Thanks so much for posting that link. That was cool as hell. Oh, and... Here's a video of the entire thing
