Oh, that's funny!

Dang it -- just checked my calendar and I have a fundraiser -- that I am helping to run - that night. I hope they have other dates in the area.

So -- a friend from work heard heavy Metal Drummer on my cell (it's my ring back) and really liked it. So I gave him my extra YHF -- so, I may have brought someone inoit the fold. So, my question is -- do I get a gift for brining in a new fan -- like a toaster over or football phone?

"So, what was that experience like." "Tell me about that experience" Yeah, she was a little bit of a novice, but they were nice to her.

There are a couple days in 2009 I could do over .. Feb 13 . . . the day I wore those low riser Gap jeans (not good for someone with a mushy waist line) April 8 . . . Over doing it on the white wine at the office get together (my boss still looks at me funny.) July 4 . . . let's just say I thought the fuse on that firework was a little longer September 18 the day I went off my diet big time at the all you can eat Chinese Buffet. Those low risers barely make it up to my shins. November 23. . . The day I watch Funny People OnDemand cos I thought there was footage of a Wilco conce

What Beatles song would you most like to see Wilco cover??
barbkm replied to jdmel's topic in Just A Fan
Going back to the early years, Twist & Shout (technically a cover of a cover) -- a good screamer for Jeff, and John & Pat would do good on the "Ahhhhs". -

I totally agree with It All to Much! (My fav. Beatle song). How About I Want You -- Jeff, Nels and Pat on the solo --- oooooh, I'm getting chills just thinking about it! -
I tol him he sucked before the last song, when he said that a woman wanted to hear Via Chicago, but he was noty going to do i. Avata is from Beacon Benefit Show in march. This is me from the March 05 show: Here's the picture from Calvin 05, too quick with the typing:

How's this for nuts -- a friend called my cell phone and asked what song was playing as he waited for me to answer -- it was really good. I had no idea what he was talking about (new phone and I technologically inept), so I called it and low and behold -- it was Heavy Metal Drummer. I forgot that I tried to get that as my ring tone, but it was only available as a ring back -- which I had not idea what it was. I was so excited that he liked it, that I left him this message "IT WAS WILCO!!!!!! HEAVY METAL DRUMMER FROM YANKEE HOTEL FOXTROT. IT'S A GREAT SONG AND YOU LIKE IT. YOU HAVE TO BUY IT

Jeff signed this poem in my Adult Head. Funny, thing cos he signed it "You Suck Jeff Tweedy" cos during the show - Calvin Theater, Nov,. 05, I shouted "You Suck" when he said that he was not going to do my request. I framed it. Sigh

I was not in the mood to work today, so I did this instead: Beautiful Tweedy How your voice, your words thrill us Sing now, Sing always ------- Heart, bird, Either Way Spiders live and Outtasite Wilco's best by me ------- Just play me Wilco All the morning, noon, and night Ipod blares my boys ------- Oh my Glenn, sweet Glenn Pound your skins, make my knees weak So handsome and tall ____________ Nels blows me away With his tools of distortion Guitar God, Heaven ______________ Mysterious Mike Sits quietly in the back In front for Pronto ___________________ Pat of the Mod Hair Strut

"Ah, just one more thing before I go, Mr. Tweedy, what's this registration I found for a Bull Black Nova in your name...." That's my Columbo impression. Picture me in a rumbled trench coat and cigar.
