Love the tights on Glenn's daughter. Man, when I was that age, I got to go to Rosary Breakfasts and ceramnics class with mom. These are darn lucky kids. These photos just make me yearn for a concert. When oh when will they come back to my area??!!??! Can't plan vacation till I know. Hey -- some of you folks have the inside track on touring. What's the possibility of May? My 40th is May 12, and if they are playing anywhere in the continental US on that day, I plan on being there. Might as well cry with some good tunes.
  3. It's good to know I'm not alone. Now I must go light my candles in the Tweedy shrine.
  4. So, I was in the elevator at work today and these random people who I do not know we're talking about how one of them is getting ready for a vacation in New Zealand. This woman adds, "Yes, New Zealand is beautiful," and I had to suppress every urge to say, "Well, Jeff Tweedy seemed to really like it..." Thankfully, I did not and managed to survive another day without revealing the crazy.
  5. Oh yeah, baby!! I will double that head banging dude Then it would be Outtasite, Impossible Germany, Too Far Apart
  6. With all the Wilco paraphernalia I've purchased over the years, I feel like I'm paying for Jeff's kid's education. And I've never been invited to a Parent -Teacher Conference. Ah-rumpf!
  7. This combines the Out and about thing with the you know you're obssessed wih Wilco thing -- Today, FUV played Bull Black Nova as I was driving home. And, whenever the DJ said "Wilco" or "Jeff Tweedy", I went "WHOOO -- HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" rather loudly. And I realized I do that every time I hear Wilco on the radio, and then the DJ says, "That was Wilco (WHOOOOOO-HOOOOO)The Song off Wilco's (WHOOOOOO-HOOOOO) latest CD, Wilco (WHOOOOOO-HOOOOO)the Album. Jeff Tweedy (WHOOOOOO-HOOOOO)of Wilco (WHOOOOOO-HOOOOO) said that Wilco (WHOOOOOO-HOOOOO) the Album ...." You get the picture
  8. I've met Jeff 5 time(see #5 in my profile picture) and I always make an ass out of myself: Told him he looked skanky: my camera didn't work and I stood next to him like an ass for a few minutes while some random dude tried to take out picture; said his Nudie suit had hummingbirds, when it was Cardinals; asked him if he wanted to see my hummingbird tattoo, which he demurely declined; ran across the parking lot -- in heels -- to tell him breathlessly that I had to drive up to go to Columbus OH (from NJ -- was in Cincinnati for a business trip) to see "Ma boyz." The last time was at the benefit
  9. To Speed Racer -- I always thought that was a self portrait and was really jealous cos I thought you were alot prettier than me and if Jeff saw this, he'd be like "Wow, that Speed racer is hard, but that barbkm, who let her out of the kennel." So, this is good for my self confidence.
  10. D'Oh.. Didn't mean that, I love Michael. He kicked ass at the 08 REM Show at Jones Beach, in the pouring rain. Just prefer Jeff these days.
  11. I almost agree about Stipe skipping it, but it could come out and sing So. Central Rain, then have a seat.
  12. I saw Tim Ribbons, Susan Sarandon and their son at the Mcarren Park show last year. I was waiting by the bus, and they walked by, knocked on the bus tour, and were let in. I guess if I had an Oscar, I could have got on too. And I think I saw this girl who played a child killer on Law & Order -- long, blond wavy hair, big blues eyes and she was playing a pre-teen sociopath. Think I saw her at Pines Theater. And the NBC Channel 4 weather guy, Chris Cimino, at the Starland Ballroom in 06. Anyone else?
  13. Almost my dream concert. Mine would be: Wilco + Minus 5 + Robyn H + REM Since these bands are kind of commingled, it would just be one big show. Jeff Tweedy, Robyn Hicthcock, and Peter Buck all jamming together on one stage -- better than peanut butter & chocolate.
  14. Basking in the afterglow of that too short performance, I've a few observations: Kick ass cow bell maneuvers by Mikel They looked like they were having a blast I don't know if it's my computer screen, but Jeff looks a little heavier from Wappingers Falls. If so, I'm glad that we both put on some weight since that night, makes me feel closer to him and much closer to Wendy's -- obviously God I wanna see go to a Wilco show, god I wanna go to a Wilco show, god I wanna go see a Wilco show. I'm so jealous of you folks who'll be seeing them in the next few weeks. Need a fix, need a fix, need
  15. This was the show when Nels fell walking onto the stage, to which Jeff said, "Hey, I saw Wilco last night ... and they were trippen...."
  16. (BTW -- Much more fun than responding to that "turd" post) Anywho IOnly 11 Wilco shows, wish it was more!! April 06 Starland Ballroom, NJ June 07 Count Basie Theater, NJ Pines Theatre, MA Hammerstein Ballroom, NY Oct 07 Ohio State, Wexner Center, Oh Feb 08 Tower Theatre, PA Schubert Theatre, CT Aug 08 Macarren park Pool, NY Dec 08 MSG - MSG -- Neil young openers, but does this count as one since they only played 50 minutes? July 09 Duchess Stadium, NJ Jeff Tweedy -3 Calvin Theater, MA Nov 05 & March 09 Beacher High School - March 09 Pronto Maxwells, NJ March 09 Nel Cl
  17. How about more of a continuation What Light On and On and On Thanks I Get Let's Not Get Carried Away
  18. Now that you mention it, I can see it alittle. Hopefully, Jeff will never do the Gabriel reverse mohawk.
  19. When I need some cardio motivation, I put in the live version of Spiders -- recent versions from Lollapalozza or Wappingers Falls are best. Before my knees went kaput, I would jog to the versions and then do a good spritn o that da-da-da-da-dahhh,de-da da da-dahhhh. Gets the heart going on many levels. Since my knees have failed me, I do this on the arc trainer or stair master.
  20. Robyn Hitchcock's I Often Dream of Trains -- time for the boys to go all out acoustic.
  21. Some songs are the some at the f-you songs, but here are a few songs that I have to skip on my ipod while in the office: Rock-n-Roll N-word Killing in the Name Of I Don't Want to Fuck Off Any more.. Feel free to add
  22. Who's the woman standing between Sayid and Sun? She new or someone I forgot? And, the significance of Lock's back being turned is staggering.
  23. Oh -- and Please Be Patient With Me in the movie Ghost Town.
