And to top it all off you have to see Jimmy Buffet.

It's got an excellent view of I-95! -

Regular sale started this morning via the box offfice at The Grand, where they played last year (1-800-37grand). I called this a.m. and was on hold for a while but I got my ticket for $37 including fees. FrontGate was going to cost $50. When you call you have the option for GA Field or GA Stands. The stadium will hold 13k for this show (which is why tickets are still available on FrontGate). Here's some views of how they set it up for concerts... http://www.delawarestadiumcorp.com/concerts.php

You aren't, by any chance, an Olympic gymnastics judge are you?

I saw Wilco on the 10th and Radiohead on the 12th. For me it sure didn't hurt that Wilco was playing an 1,100 seat theater vs. a 25,000 capacity craphole of a shed. Still they were both great shows. I did enjoy Radiohead much more the last time I saw them (two years ago at the 3,000 seat Tower).

I heard Thom Yorke covering "After the Goldrush" on the radio yesterday.
-
I almost wet myself when they covered "Spiders (Kidsmoke)"

"You Can't Do That" More Cowbell!

The way it started you'd think Jeff had never heard it either

Start with The Bends or OK Computer. If you like what you hear, finish with Kid A and Amnesiac. See them live if you can, it could change your mind. They're really that good. Skip Pablo Honey.

Did you have to drive around a while to find a place that would make you pay to park? There were spots all over the streets within a block or two of the Grand. Always are.

While I was being flippant, I would disagree with the "minimum integrity" portion of your comment. Even though the Monkees were a commercial enterprise more than a band, at the end of the day they left us with a pile of great songs. anyway, back to your regularly scheduled topic...
-
Can we at least agree that the Monkees are the American Beatles?

That doesn't look like Billy Zoom

That's a great room for sound. That was the third show I've seen there and the sound has been great every time. The first was Lyle Lovett and his Large Band and even with 15+ musicians the sound was perfect. Also saw the White Stripes there, obviously much less to cover in the mix but it was really loud and still sounded great.

Looking for a Ride to the Wilmington Show

How do these stories get started? -
Agree, and I get to see them about 48 hours apart.
-
The only quibble I have is that, like the Lollapalooza webcast, Nels guitar seemed buried in the mix. Not at first but, for example, during "Impossible Germany" you could barely hear him over Jeff & Pat.

I love Wilco and Radiohead but I hate Billy Joel and Journey. Does that mean anything?

Approximate setlist: Sunken Treasure You are My Face Handshake Drugs I Am Trying to Break Your Heart Jesus etc. Company In My Back Hotel Arizona Radio Cure Impossible Germany Pot Kettle Black Blood of the Lamb Side With the Seeds Wishful Thinking Theologians Poor Places Spiders Encore 1 Hate it Here The Late Greats Walken I'm the Man WHo Loves You Encore 2 Hummingbird Heavy Metal Drummer Casino Queen Outta Sight, Outta Mind I think I've got all the songs but the order is probably messed up. Came on at 8:15 played until 10:30.
-
Double-checked, they were scheduled for 8:30 so I shouldn't have been expecting much more. Rage was playing the bigger side. Or at least what looks like the bigger side from the map.

You are aware that you were watching that on tape delay?
