Woohoo. But south Florida off the list I guess. I few dates open after Orlando so maybe Otherwise a roadtrip is in order

10 Grand each?
-
He will be in there for sure..like it or not. STYX
-
I think Gram is borderline or better for sure and seems to have some friends in high places....Sonic Youth did have some influence for sure but I just don't see it, maybe in many years. I wish I could look ahead 20 years and see if our boys (WILCO) get in.
-
IMO....SRV Gram Warren Dire are the only in group that has a chance...SRV will get in and Gram will get in...the others not so sure.
-
You really don't think Rush deserves it...I do and I am not a huge fan, but they have done many good things, great songs, longevity same lineup, great live shows even into old age,...Prog rock needs more in...Yes for Sure. I think it is a good pick for the HOF. I think Kraftwerk will have their day...
-
As the rest of you I have some major issues with the HOF but I think the broadness of the scope is not such a bad thing. I think they draw the line at Barry Manilow and or Barbara Streisand.
-
That is the leak so far.....Big Question is Rush I think...50/50. I would like to see Kraftwerk.
-
14 songs...20 songs.....IT'S ALL ONE SONG anyway.
-
If it what I am thinking there is a part where the Mighty Led Zep does Dazed....in Color...so awesome. Jimmy still is playing a strat and they have smoke...maybe from late 69....first real good live footage that came out in late 80's along with the Danish TV Zep from early 69. I got the VHS.
-
I saw a stealth video of part of one song...did not notice is they have the side guys (Keyboards, Horns, Singers) for this gig...maybe only 5 on stage not sure.
-
For those that have Direct TV you should get the package that has AXS Network (340). It is great and every Saturday Night they have this show called AXS live which goes around the country live for all kinds of music and other stuff (fashion, events...). They even have live concerts later in the night. They had MMJ live at Red Rocks a few weeks ago that was epic. They had Alanis Morreset last week (not so great).

I bet he can fly occasionally (they will drug him) but a tour when it is constant he freaked. Or he will take a boat like you said. I wonder what PPV cost will be...better be less then ticket prices. I calculated that the average ticket price for NJ will be around $1,000...which will be at $17,000,000 night...sick

Saw the show is South Florida (Culture Room)...great venue been there 20 times. Band was OK, Chris was OK. Was a little shocked that he had a songbook up on stage and was reading the lines from it. Seemed like he did not know the lyrics to his own songs (ala Bruce) but it was so obvious and he would turn the pages during and after all songs. The band is pretty tight, the material was OK. In my opinion the Black Crowes are 100% better.

Same thing happened at our theater but it was never really turned up to what it should have been....really too low for the whole night. Still a great performance. I am not sure I loved the staging with the large monitor that is at the back of the stage that shows them large video all night. I kow this staging is very popular now. Van Halen used the same sort of thing. I guess I just prefer the overhead "colored" lights and a backdrop that does not have video on it. It was really Jason's night, they looked like they did it for him as much as they did it Amet, or at least that played into

Going to the theater tonight to see this so looking forward to it.

Waiting on a Friend is great...the Video is the best...all Videos from Tattoo You were classic. I have been digging TIme Waits for No One.

Charlie is a machine. Did you see Jeff Lynne special on Paladia....part when they talk about when he produced new beatles song (Free as a bird) and he wanted Ringo to use a click track and Ricngo said "I am the Click Track"

New Neil Young album - with Crazy Horse!
suites replied to Vacant Horizon's topic in Someone Else's Song
Yuck...Rick Ruben really...say that 5 times in a row. -
This list is actually the best I can remember for at least the last few year. Kraftwerk alone makes this list respectable. We know at least 5 will be inducted. My picks are Chic, Kraftwerk, DP, Rush, Donna Summer, PE (OK That is six) and Albert King will get in like they did with Freddy King last year (early influence).

I read like the first 50 pages and I was surprised how many times he talks about Pono.....but it is still pretty cool so far. Some good tidbits about his life so far. -
