I never put War in the "HOF" class but that is just my opinion. I read what the guy from War said about the Beastie Boys...LOL.

No connection but just pointing out how some groups are perceived. A group like GNR, who lets face it does not really have a long list of great records, gets in on first try and a group like Boston get zero thought about going in like many other groups from the 70's (Rush, Chicago, Supertramp, Yes, Steve Miller, Journey, Grand Funk.....). I do understand the GNR had a certain attitude and maybe some lasting infuence but I just feel like the HOF goes over the top to show that they are hip.

Almost what I would have guessed with what was nominated. The cure should be in and they may be down the road. I wonder who will be inducted for GNR and RHCP...RHCP have had like 4-5 guitar members. Is Dizzy going in with GNR? I would think GNR would be the original 5 plus the second drummer. It's weird when you think GNR really only had 2 proper records and they get so much more respect then Boston. I think Boston 1 is as good of a record as any including GNR 1.

We (down on South Florida) would be happy with any show at any venue seated or GA or laying down on the ground if we had too. Be happy they are playing near your house....all said in jest.

I hate to even question a "setlist" with wilco becuase they are one of the few groups that actually change it up nightly but after listening to many recordings of this tour I have to agree it is maybe a mistake to start with OSM. It is very ballsy I will give them that. I guess that is what these discussions are about on this board. I think maybe 10% of the fans get it when it comes to trying to pull off a 10-12 minutes "mellow" song for s concert opening song.

I can tell you why FLA gets the shaft a lot. #1 it is out of the way, #2 fans usually stink, #3 not know for following Indi bands. Most of the "Big" acts find their way down here......But last time Wilco came down to South FLA at the Fillmore on South Beach...they sold it out.

For some reason I feel good about them announcing some FLA dates when they do the next leg (April 2011). Just have a feeling.

I think you might be trolling for an argument. The face value of wilco tickets have been between 40-60 for years so why ask the question unless your looking for a fight. I have been on thus board since the beginning and never was called out like that.

Mant people want tickets and only a few tickets to be had. Unless you know people who have tickets or are willing to pay $$$$$ you will have to be like most of us and enjoy the recordings that we hope will come out.

I think wilco opened for rem in Atlanta and a few other dates. Don't remember exactly when

Say what you want about the Grammy's but just like SNL, RNR HOF and many other "bucket List" things it wouls be cool if Wilco was nominated for Album of the Year. I agree with the arguement on how do you give awards for arts (Music, TV, Movies) but I still would love them to get the recognition they deserve.
