  1. Am I holding out hope for something I only wish were true?
  2. Listening and cataloging music, to me, is just like keeping a journal... I make myself mixes on almost a monthly basis and find it amazing how my mind AND heart are so connected to music. A simple lick, chord structure or lyric can take me back to conversations, moods or the places I was at when I was digging whatever song/album/artist. Isn't it remarkable how music can do that to a person? I was thinking the other day about trying to do a winter mix solely comprised of Wilco. I have a Slow Tunes version, but it doesn't always fit with a fire, a bottle of cabernet and a snowfall. My pic

  4. I've been out of work since the end of January. I left a secure job in Raleigh to come back home to Detroit, after missing my friends and family. I use about 6 job sites on a daily basis. I send hard-copy and emailed resumes to companies on all the 'Best Of' lists... 5. Sorry to bump up this old thread, but I've been looking hard at finding this show. It was my first Wilco concert, but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have any ideas besides etree and googling? Thanks in advance...

  7. Summerteeth at my local sushi place (Little Tree) on Thursday afternoon. Plenty of mid-range Beatles intertwined as well. Great soundtrack to a wonderful lunch!
  8. Ellen Page was NOT any more funny second time around... My opinion: Reminder for Wilco, Warning for Page.
  9. Watching this for a second time, I just can't get over how tight this band has gotten over the last few years...
  10. I always took this one a bit more literally than the rest. I think it may just be about differences/arguments in relationships. i.e.- "sleeves have come unstitched From climbing your tree"-maybe a disagreement? "And the sun gets passed from tree to tree Silently, and back to me"-the back and forth of a discussion? Also, for what it's worth, the verse about his message on the machine and the person (her?) knowing what he means is strikingly beautiful in its simplicity. Jeff bringing out the things that only couples share together is very cool. Something I've tried to duplicate for a whil
