  1. I think my computer is disagreeing with Vimeo. All of those sites just have the Vimeo clip embedded...oh well. i'll wait.
  2. Is this video available anywhere else? I can't get it to play in any browser, and all of them are fully updated on my computer with the right plug-ins, software, etc.
  3. When they ask you to complete "one spam-free survey" to unlock the ZIP file, me thinks it's just not a wise move.
  4. I have tried, for the better part of an afternoon, to no avail, to play this video.
  5. I believe that's this clip. There are others on YouTube. Some of THE BEST early footage of the band.
  6. I've seen can coozies too. Made out of the same soft foam rubber-ish material as the ones for bottles. Never seen them KNIT though. Maybe that's why they want 10 bucks for each...
  7. Got the email update from Kung Fu with a few more [tantalizing?] product offers, including the Wilco koozie, which looks more like a beer sweater than a koozie. Either way (ahem) it's $10 for one. Pass. If it were a set of koozies, for $10 I'd do it. But not for one. And I don't want a yo-yo.
  8. Analogman's suggestion is best -- check the 'After the Show' thread. That's the best way to compare recent setlists.
  9. That's a safe bet: a setlist heavy on YHF and AGIB tunes, with some regulars from SBS (Impossible Germany, Walken, Hate it Here) and W(TA) (Bull Black Nova, You Never Know, One Wing). *Maybe a song or two from Summerteeth (Shot in the Arm, Via Chicago) *Maybe an encore cherry picking rockers from A.M. and Being There (Casino Queen, Box Full of Letters Outtasite, I Got You, etc.) *Maybe some new ones.
  10. I think 90 seconds of "The Art of Almost" > 90 seconds of "You and I."
  11. I want to hear the rest of the vocals! Haha, what if that was the only line in that entire song? In the video, Jeff's got the mic, looks like he's getting ready for a vocal take, and just utters one word...haha...
  12. The shows are back in the roadcase. Tipitina's!
  13. I thought we were talking about "The Art of Almost" in this thread?
  14. It took me a long time to read it, once I found the point where he actually began reviewing the concert and stopped writing masturbatory dredge.
  15. Thought that's what you meant. This guy enjoyed the last 42.8 minutes and is very excited about what's next. The trailer doesn't ease my anticipation, it only magnifies it. But I'm also leery of judging things by their trailers.
  16. Posted it this morning over here: http://viachicago.org/topic/45942-i-went-and-saw-me-some-wilco/.
  17. Jenny Scheinman is excellent. I particularly enjoy her work with bassist Ben Allison, whom I recommend everyone check out!
  18. I enjoyed it too -- once he got to the point. The Wilco-the-quartet period in 2001 seems to be one of the most wishy-washy eras of the band. Some people seem to speak of that live era as incredibly boring and pretentious, others love it... I forgot to add that this part of a series where Pfork is unearthing old articles that don't live on the site anymore...
