  1. You can now air your grievances or share your issues with a Pitchfork review directly with them -- and they might just respond to it. http://pitchfork.com/news/45454-introducing-inbox/
  2. American Songwriter's Jan/Feb. issue featured "30 Days of Dylan" with commentary and reflections from various artists. A few good reads in there. http://www.americansongwriter.com/2012/01/american-songwriter-presents-30-days-of-dylan/
  3. Carter Beauford can really smack those drums. I've always loved his playing.
  4. Maybe not full-on cranial combustion, but damn near close.
  5. It was Carter's single in the 1986 World Series that spurred the Mets' rally, as shown here:
  6. I realize it's a silly thing to focus on. Just came at a day where nearly every email I read had the exact same line it. That's too bad, though, that people need an advance thank-you to be swayed. What's the point of recording -- for your own singular enjoyment? kind of seems to against why people record shows. Oh well. Score? How about procure, obtain, acquire, find, secure, or GET.
  7. I think Summerteeth is more 1966-1967 Beatles -- with the layers and layers and layers of overdubs, psychedelic sounds, etc. Since AGIB I've heard more late-period Beatles in their music.
  8. I hear more Abbey Road sounds in that song than Strawberry Fields.
  9. That's true - thanks for clarifying that. That thing was a FAILURE of the highest order.
  10. Perhaps the voters should listen to more music; they'd hear how much of The Beatles are in all of Wilco's discography.
  11. Bon Iver were invited to perform, but they refused. Vernon said there's no way he'd collaborate with another artist on the Grammys, and the only way they'd play is if they could just have their band.
  12. If I could see McCartney and Wilco in a single night, my head might explode. The universe could implode into itself and I'd be a happy man.
  13. Finally getting around to hearing this. I like it!
