Possible Perjury?
-
uhh ... Misunderstood?
-
Yup. Gut 'em like an ... err ... fish?

That's only so we know which extras to pre-order, and how long we can listen to the album before we actually receive our pre-ordered order.

That is where he's at. And whatever this band is creating at this point in time comes from that. Love it or hate it, but it's the same guy that made ... AM, BT, ST, YHF, AGIB and even SBS. You can't expect him to rebel, or be tortured if that's no longer in his makeup. Does it detract from him as an artist? I don't think so. I look forward to hearing this album, knowing it's not going to change my life; only that how my life has changed meets whatever's released at a place where I can embrace it.

So Donald Rumsfeld has gone into amusement ride design? I'm surprised they left out the towel and water treatment. -
How many times did he swing and miss it before it hit it?

Currently downloading one with seeds -- there was a second with no seeds listed. which one are you listening to?

You have to be pretty frickin fast, or at least innovative up and down the neck. Of course. Shut off the light when you close the thread? -

I respect your views, and I know I'm not alone in this opinion. It was like trying to come up with the top 20 albums last summer. There's just too many of them, so your overriding decisions have to be personal ones. I respect David Gilmore greatly. I'll buy you a drink someday and you can convince me! -

Well the Pod is a cheater, which allows you to have dozens of pedal effects at the ready. They sound -- and are -- pretty straightforward finger picking pieces. Pedestrian. Gilmore -- and the band -- have done great things sonically with the effects and recording techniques. Your talent doesn't have to run deep with that sort of arsenal -- a saucer full of secrets if you will. -
Wrong thread -- and probably a dumb question -- but why do so many taper-friendly bands refuse SBD recordings?

Greatest Guitarists of All Time

Calling my crazy is off-topic (and frankly old news)! 2-4 are all done with effects or in the studio. #4 is a preset on my Pod board (plugging a mic into it is fun for tape loopy goodness). He takes the tools and does some amazing things with it. You're convinced and I understand that. Anything I've heard him do acoustically is pretty elementary. I wouldn't call Edge a great guitar player,. He has deep pockets and all the latest and greatest toys. It doesn't make him a superhero. -
Sadly (and it may explain a lot) the only links I could google were sites making their entire catalog available for download. I didn't find any torrents for concerts.

Point taken. Thanks.

I may "innocently" try to do it with my iPhone. I loaded a free "recorder" app that records aiff files. I taped my daughter's symphony concert and it picked up pretty decently, for as much quality as they can put into the iphone's mouthpiece.

I was just writing a song about that ...

I feel what you're saying but I debate whether the feeling, soul, emotion would have an outlet without the volume and sustain it brings, and the effects that give the limited depth of style some variation. EDIT: Oh, and go brush your teeth! -
Hum us another song, Ed!

Seriously tho, scroll up and watch that YouTube clip where they break down MM's backing harmonies in Peg. Amazing.
-
Al-right. It *is* gonna be a great album!

"Nothing against him, but if I hear "Yah Mo B There" one more time, I'm going to "Yah Mo" burn this place to the ground." There. In-deed. Are they taper un-friendly?
