I've cover courts -- both civil and criminal -- and from what I've seen in the AP, Trib and ST stories, I would bet the reporter picked that filing clean for any information. you're not going to see anything more unless discoveries are filed and made available. I guess what could be gleaned from the report was whether Bennett filed through an attorney (assumed). If so, the attorney would have sent some notification to Tweedy, Tony and Nonsuch, saying, "here we come." If JB's attorney actually filed, that means Tweedy/Tony/et. al. believe it's without merit. If Bennett filed on his own, and

One would argue that Jay Bennett is speculating. Or prospecting.

Actually, I think he let about four sentences go. But his on-base percentage is good.

GRETNA, La. -- New Orleans Saints receiver Biren Ealy and tight end Kolomona Kapanui have been released from jail. The men were arrested early Sunday morning by Jefferson Parish authorities, who booked the two players with obscenity, disturbing the peace and lewd conduct. They allegedly were drunk, urinated in public and exposed themselves to two women in the parking lot of a suburban New Orleans apartment complex. "Lewd boys out of jail!"

I guess it would be inappropriate to wonder where Selig's hand is ... -
Peculiar? The band just released a DVD that hit #1 on Billboard and is getting mounting visibility for an album coming out in two months. I'll be blunt about it. If this was a legal move and he sought to obtain losses, he should go after the label and after the group's management. If his name is on the songs, his publishing company needs to go after proceeds. In that movie he wasn't paid for, they showed Tweedy signing the contracts for the album. It seems that was Bennett's time and place to challenge the rights to songs.

Obviously a layman, but in thinking about this, it makes sense in that, if the grooves are spaced a bit more, it protects the integrity of each groove. Closely spaces grooves means less integrity for each groove. How's that for rationalization?

They do. It's called, "The Byrds."

Plus he's a former Cub. Lionize away! -
Definitely! One of the cool things about Costello's re-mastered disks is the bundles of tracks and variations of songs. Pete Townsend generated some extra scratch with his "Scoops" records, which were an interesting glimpse into his writing process. You'd have to pick through some bits that really sucked arse, but you could also find snippets that would find their way into their best albums, thrown away tidbits from the Lifehouse project, etc. I'm hopeful that Tweedy, in some reminiscent period, decides to release (or even leak) some of the band's recording experiments, his "greatest lost

Yep. Straight to the bottom of the list, I'm afraid.

Decent choices, but you'd really end the album on a lull. I think you've got to end it with DIMD. Open side B with Sunken Treasure. Side A 1. Misunderstood 2. Far Far Away 3. Outta Site Outta Mind 4. What's the World Got in Store 5. Monday 6. Sunken Treasure 7. Hotel Arizona 8. Red-Eyed and Blue 9. I Got You 10. The Lonely 1 11. Dreamer in My Dreams I would be tempted to throw Hotel Arizona on side one but there's no place to place it to balance the tempo of songs preceding/following.

Being There, done that.

I'd say if you're going to pose this, do so on a time basis -- say fitting 45:00 onto a single disk. DOMD would be equal to 2 other songs, for instance.
