  1. It's a venue thing, but the artists do have to approve. No professional cameras (removable lenses) though, or video. My camera has a video feature. Maybe they won't notice or ask.
  2. A review? Heck, I got an email today saying they allow small cameras for this show. I think I'll be snapping a few pics here and there!
  3. 2nd row for the Bob Dylan show in Raleigh tonight, Dawes as opening act.
  4. The Cardinals bullpen has struggled so far this season, so they're calling up and giving a spot to a young man I saw pitch all throughout his college career. Seth Maness may not be a dominant pitcher, but he just may be the stingiest with giving up free passes. Last season, mostly in AA, dude was 14-4 and issued only 10 walks in 170 innings.
  5. Ok. Thank you for the info and the number.
  6. I see Live Nation also allows returns for the Camden show. I got a decent seat, but just found out I've got something real important at work that week. I was planning another Philly vacation around this, but I live much closer to Va. Beach, which has a show a few days earlier (though I loathe beach traffic). Is there a refund fee? It'd be nice if I could cross-venue ticket swap, but I doubt they'll do that.
  7. I think a lot of Dylan's "rules" is just Bob screwing with people, to see what they'll do just for his own personal entertainment.
  8. I've heard more than one musician state they were told not to talk to Bob, do not even look at Bob. So I guess Bob Dylan is the Happy Fun Ball of music legends.
  9. Umm...yeah...solid baseball right there... http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130420&content_id=45334346&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb
  10. Holy shhh!!!!!!!!t! I'm there wherever I have to go to be there!
  11. I hope this will be over soon. CBS is reporting that the older brother popped up on the FBI's radar two years ago, they interviewed him, but we're unable to gather any useful info on him. Apparently he was frequenting extremists websites.
  12. David Green, from Florida, took this photo after the second explosion. Look who's (sans backpack) walking around the corner and away from the blast.
  13. Wilco runs their own label now, and need to actively generate revenue on their own. Attaching their name with The Rolling Stones can only help bring some attention their way.
  14. http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/news/texas/article/Records-Ex-official-eyed-in-DA-slayings-was-cop-4443658.php I don't think these two are a part of the Arayan brotherhood...or a Mexican drug cartel, for that matter.
  15. I'd agree to this only if the Stones joined Wilco in playing Casino Queen.
  16. http://arizonasports.com/?sid=1627307&nid=132 The D'backs owner may want to let his employees handle in-the-moment-issues with fans. He kept insisting that the back of these fans' tickets states that those seats require you may not wear an opposing teams' gear. It is stated nowhere on the ticket, or the website, or anywhere. For as much as these seats costs, they should come with free D'backs gear anyway, if he wants the home plate box to be an advertisement. I understand his desire, but his execution stinks.
  17. Joe Mauer, 8 hits in the last two games. Lineup like that, why bother pitching to him?
  18. At least two more bombs have been discovered. http://bostonglobe.com/metro/2013/04/15/explosions-rock-boston-marathon-finish-line-dozens-injured/yLhfDT1XC3HXSa8wPiVijL/story.html
  19. When a manager does a double switch it's because he doesn't want any pitchers coming up to hit for the remainder of the game. So essentially the NL has the DH from the 6th inning on. I'm sure most managers would rather have one more pitcher on their roster than a fifth outfielder or a backup first baseman. There's probably only a half dozen pitchers who can really hit. The NL game is running out of time.
  20. I'm not a purist (wouldn't mind having universal DH), but, depending on the batter, a bunt with a runner on and no outs is solid strategy in trying to avoid the double play. The numbers are always in the pitcher's favor, but there are better odds at a plating a run when the runners are closer to home.
  21. Anyone else have a Bob Seger ear worm now? Oh crap, make it stop!!!
  22. Read this a long time ago. It's rather dry and charming. It helps to read it in Winters' various voices. Loved this guy. R.I.P.
  23. Somebody needs to teach Greinke how to fight. Dude tried to shoulder block a moving bus.
  24. I know zero about recording music, but I've always felt something was amiss with I Can't Stand It. I love the song, but regardless of volume level, it doesn't ever quite sound right to my ears. Remember: This is the song Reprise got involved with, putting in the bells, etc. I don't mind the bells, but the sound doesn't quite match the rest of the album. Perhaps that's Reprise's doing, since they wanted this to be pushed for radio play (which they didn't put forth much effort)?
